Does the type of battery have anything to do with which player to buy?
I understand the Glacier uses a Nokia telephone battery which I assume would be cheaper to replace than an Li-on. I've already admitted I'm clueless about this stuff but trying learn. I don't want to have to pay as much for a battery when the time comes as I paid for the player.

It does, if you intend to use the player. The Nokias last longer on a charge.

Actually, the aftermarket li-ons on ebay & elsewhere are pretty cheap, comparable to the cost of a Nokia battery on ebay. Unless you get them on replacement from Apple, in which case they are still pretty cheap, multiplied by 6 or 7 times.
