Default Replacement wall charger (Glacier)

Has anyone found another wall charger that will replace the one that comes with the Glacier?
After reading about some people having their charger actually go up in smoke on them, I'd rather find a better one.

Also, I want to use this in my truck via a FM transmitter (which I already have).
Is there any kind of charger that will plug into a standard 12v cigarette lighter?

I've seen the holders/chargers for the IPods and I like that setup but I don't know if they plug in the same.

This one sold on ebay says it includes a 48" USB to mini-USB cable, looks to me you could connect your glacier usb cable to it.
12Volt to usb charger
There are a lot of standard usb chargers on ebay too. Quality questionable, so I bought a wall charger for the battery only, since I got 2 players both with extra batteries. I'd rather blow up a battery than a Glacier. A Nokia bl-4c charger on ebay, goes for $2

Thanks for the link, but that adapter had the wide USB end on it that connects to the IPods. It won't fit in ours.

But I just found this which looks like it will work.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...Tab=1&NoMapp=0
This shows an output of DC 5 volt and 500 mA. Our factory charger shows an output of DC 5 volt and 200-300 mA.
I wonder if the extra 200-300 mA is going to be too much?

I'm also thinking about picking up a spare Nokia battery as well so I'll probably pickup one of those direct battery chargers as well.

Thanks

Actually that is only the cable, the standard usb connects to the charger and the other end to the Ipod, you're right about that. But you should use it with the cable that came with the Glacier, I don't think you will find chargers where you can click your Glacier on, or with a cable you can use, because of the propierty connection Uxcell uses on the Glacier.

Ah your right, sorry I missed that the cable was separate.

Any ideas about the 500 mA being too much?
I understand that a typical computer USB port can send as much as 500 mA, so in theory it shouldn't be too much.

Guess I might just give it a try.

Thanks for your help.

500mA should be alright, the player takes only what it needs, and you are right, the computer delivers the same. No worries there.

just spreading the word, the glacier and players that look exactly like it need to be charged by a 500ma wall charger and not the 200-300ma chargers people are getting.

If you use the 200-300ma charger you player will either take longer to charge and quickly degrade your battery or not charge your player at all.

Where did you find this information at?
If that's the case, why is Uxcell packaging the Glacier w/ the 200-300 mA charger?
I bought mine directly from Uxcell and everything came in one box.

The bl-4c battery charger I bought charges with 250mA max at 4.3 volts, it charges up to 2000mAh batteries. So I don't see why the usb wall chargers shouldn't work, provided they stay alive. But I would be happy with better info or insight on this, if available.
