Default Glacier recharging problem...SOLVED (for me at least)

During this weekend, it happened. Yup. After 3 weeks of using the Glacier, the 'recharging problem' occurred. Despite the fact that I connected the Glacier to my computer for more than two hours, it suddenly gave me the 'not enough power' message in Chinese and turns back off when I tried to turn it on . Eventually it wouldn't even turn on at all.

I thought I was screwed. I was wrong.

I'm not sure about the other Glaciers, but for me, the problem was simply because the two of the pins in the USB female connector (not the USB cord) in the Glacier was messed up. I examined it, and they were pushed back in! In other words, two of the pins weren't connecting properly to charge the Glacier.

In any case, if anyone tries this, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR IF YOU TRY THIS PROCESS! YOU YOURSELF TAKE THIS RISK, SO DON'T BLAME ME IF YOU SCREW UP!

Here's what I did: in a static free environment, I opened the Glacier up. Took out the battery, and the flimsy plastic film separating the battery compartment and the electronics. Took the Glacier out of its plastic casing. I looked at the USB connector, and lo and behold, there it was! The two pins were pushed in! I just took a pair of tweezers and managed to push it back. Reassembled everything again, and plugged it into the computer. Viola! The computer recognizes the Glacier again and the Glacier is back in action. It charges now! Dropping the Glacier multiple times was a bad idea after all!

As a side note, Uxcell's customer service is pretty good! I accidentally broke my glass screen (coincidentally, this was a couple of days before the charging problem), so I sent an inquiry to see if I could buy a new one. Instead, they reply that they'd ship one to me! Now, it remains to be seen if they actually did send it, but at the very least they REPLIED back! VERY impressed.
