FMP Tip: Listen/Watch while charging

I've discovered something about the Uxcell Full Metal Platinum that was quite interesting after i read a few posts about people wishing they could listen to mp3's while it was charging. If this hasn't already been found and discussed/documented somewhere...

You can listen to music and watch videos on your FMP while it's charging on the computer USB or wall outlet.

1. Just plug it in and let it start charging up.
2. Press 'Menu'
3. Go to 'Music' or 'Movies' and observe the little animated 'charging battery' icon in the top right corner doing it's thing

I've listened while it charged to full although i couldn't go very far while it's doing it of course lol. This works on a few other nano clones as well. Anyone else noticed this?

Is it just me or does the volume seem louder while listening/charging?

cheers

i (had) a nano clone, and it wasn't from uxcell. the wall outlet charger stopped working cuz it's a piece of shit so i normally would leave my old ass 95 computer on all night and have my player connected via usb. sometimes i would charge by connecting my player to my laptop (my main computer, and only decent one) and listen to music or watch a video. i have it at the bottom of my screen against the screen, so that it's like only cover up the tast bar. i know i could watch a youtube vid or listen to iTunes, but i feel like i have more control the way i did it, i didn't have to switch windows or anything. the flash memory doesn't show up on the computer, but i know that it's charging. i think that all nano clones do that. it doesn't display on my player that it's charging, no wait. it does, because when i connect it to charge and play a song or soemthing, the battery icon blinks, so yea it works.

I believe this is possible for most mp4 players. All you really have to do is press the menu button while its charging, and off you go.
