Is the mini CD- converter tools safe? (no spyware)

I usually don't like to install software from unknown publishers... has anyone ever found a virus of spyware in the player/software?

key_guard , there were some cases of the CDs that arrived with viruses. But if your computer has a reliable antivirus, it should be relatively safe.

Another alternative would be to download the software from the downloads section of this forum.

I don't get why they would put viruses on the CD's. o_0
