They might start to sell Rockchip & sigmatel chip players?

I hope that the prices will be as cheap as the nano clones were :| :P

There must be something going on about copyright claims from Apple. Uxcell is not the only HK seller that does not sell the Nano clones anymore.

I found the homepage from our well known Tronfy Co. (= tinydirectdeal)

www.tronfy.com

And guess what, they also have no Nano clones anymore. They replaced them by models based on the Nano clone, but with a different lay out of the round control button. They also made a Zune style mpX player.

It could be that the factory they use is out of stock or doing a very big order for another company. If you do a search most company's are selling the nano clones. But if uxcell stops selling the nano clones so what! The truth is the nano clones sucks we tell all our customes that. We sell over 5000 nano clones a week. There is much better players out there for $5 to $20 more with more features and looks better. But most people want the ipod look.

If you can get past the iPod looking players then you can get a real kick ass player. Look at all the pic that I have posted and other people on this site. The iPod or iPod clones do not compare.

I doubt it has anything to do with Apple doing anything.

You'd be surprised. I had a friend on eBay had her store taken down by Burberry. I wouldn't be surprised.

With that said, what a bummer!! I love my FMP 1.5 and I haven't had any trouble with it, except that when the battery gets to about 1/2 full it tends to run out rather quickly...but other than that it's been awesome. I was hoping to get one for my husband and daughter too...bummer. I've also had problems with getting back to the menu here and there but nothing that was constant. Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble getting the volume button to come up??

I agree, compared to the ones that play xvid file, spend $20 more and you will get a player that is actually comparable in quality to the iPod Video and has a more unique design.

However the nano clones don't suck, quality wise, it depends on who you buy them from, sadly people are assuming that all the clones that are out there are of the same quality, they are not.

Most people assume that the only thing they need to check is if their player has a hacked memory chip, they don't realize that the quality of the actual players varies from manufacturer. I sell MANY of these players and barely get any complaints with my players, i have only ever had to send a total of 23 players back to be serviced and have had less than 20 returned products. The quality can vary from the quality of the battery they use to the soldering to the manufacturer quality control.

The main stuff i deal with is the occasional 'disc error' as a result of people not disconnecting their devices properly.

Buy cheap get cheap shit, fork out an extra $5-$20 and you can get something a lot better and it will save you from having to buy another player 2 months after the cheap one you bought dies.

Just to add, i don't think Apple is cracking down on the actual players, chances are whoever Uxcell buys from was stamping on their players or the boxes of the player 'iPod Nano' or the Apple logo. I deal with some of the larger manufacturers and distributors (who make good mp4 players) and they haven't stopped production or distribution.
