glacier frozen on hourglass screen
 

my glacier 1gb version has been fine up until i left it for two days ,then when i switched it on it just froze on the hourglass screen ,i read somewhere here that theres a guy who can help ? well can you ?


ive emailed uxcell but no reply yet ,as im in the u.k the postage costs will out way the price that i bought it for so i dont really want to send it back if i can help it ..any advice from you good people would be much appreciated ...cheers in advance

oh and when i connect it to my pc`s it doesn`t show up as anything ,no drive f etc etc ...ive tried removing the battery ,even replacing it with a nokia phone battery ...nothing ,just the hourglass screen

You';re going to have to short the pins on the chip. There is a great guide on here 'Dead Player Recovery' Guide in the HowTo or the Recovery forum. It's a sticky and its helped out a lot of people, including myself.

ok followed the guide on here ,shorted the chip ,upgraded(or down graded) the firmware and blimey its as good as new thanks for pointing me in the right direction ,i will be telling my mates about this site
