fraimond, Media Player seems to cause problems with most of these no-brand players. As "bleakill" has posted give it a format but be sure to backup any files you want to keep beforehand.
The less problematic way to transfer files is to connect the player and copy and paste from your music library to your player within Explorer or you could place a shorcut on your desktop to the players Music folder and then just drag your tracks to the shortcut when your player is connected.
