Default Need help identifying (and upgrading) my MP4 Player

Over a year ago, I purchased an MP3/MP4 Player from UXCell... I believe the model was called something like 'The MiniDiamond'. I'm looking for a proper make/model if one exists, just so I know what to search for.

Details:
1 Gig memory
Black metal casing (full body)
Dimensions are roughly 1.5"x1"x.25"
Screen is 96x126 pixels, but only supports 96x96 movies/images due to a band that runs across the bottom
Front features screen only, no buttons
Left hand has REC, MODE, PLAY, |<<, and >>| (in that order)
Right hand has Vol-, Vol+, Power Switch, and MiniUSB port.
Audio plug is on top
Firmware Version Reads:
ACTS16D_13
2005/06/01
WS-3.2.13
2005/11/10

I wish I could tell you more, but unfortunately I no longer have the emails and UXCell no longer appears to carry this model.

My secondary question is why I'm asking the first, really. While it's overall performance has been superb, I'm curious if it's upgradable. The OS version built into it is rather laggy and not very pretty to look at... but I understand upgrading firmware willy-nilly is likely to brick, so I don't want to do it unless I know for sure what I'm upgrading.

Any help would be appreciated.

DrakkenZero , nobody can be sure which firmware would work 100% with your player. Your player previously may have been manufactured by various factories. They may all look the same on the outside, but likely to be different on the inside (hardware/firmware).

Since your player has worked faithfully for you the past 1 year, i think it should be able to work this way for quite sometime down. So if i'm in your shoes, i'll leave it as it is. These players are not made for any upgrades or updates.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29
