Default Digivision $300 cacmcorder broken AFTER ONE WEEK

I believed it would be ok to buy a $300 item from Uxcell because i trusted their quality. However after one week of the camera functioning properly, the screen went blank in the middle of recording. I believed this occured because it was out of battery. But after charging it for 7+ hours, i unplugged it and the camera would not turn on!
Nothing, only a flicker of a green light.

If anyone has any knowledge on this topic please speak.
I do not want to have to send it back and wait another month.
PLEASE HELP

It may not be broken but just stuck in a crashed state and in need of a reset or reboot.

Is there any sort reset button or have you tried taking out the battery and leaving it out for a bit?
and then retrying.

Hi Lorne,

Also try taking the battery out, leave it out for a few hours then putting it back in. That might reset the camera as well.

Otherwise try contacting UXcell support and see if they can suggest anything. Let me know on the result with that and whether you make any progress, if not, post your reply here and I'll see if I can make contact with the UXcell contact I have.

Thank you so much for the prompt responce.
There is not reset button and I have read through the manual which gives no help. I have taken out the battery for 2 mins and then put it back in. I contacted a Uxcell representative who was plesant but only suggested to send it back.
I will now go try to take out the battery for a few hours and tell you if it works.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the computer no longer recognizes it when it is plugged in and the outlet charger does not fit into Canadian outlets as it is made for Hong Kong outlets

So, after 3 weeks of discussing with a Uxcell representative and getting absolutely no where, they have sent me the return form which I am in the process of filling out. I will then ship it back and hopefully they can fix or replace it and send it back. Wierd thing is though, they have taken the item off of Uxcell.

Your thoughts, dont be shy

probably the only reason they took it off is because they realized that your camcorder is defective, so they had to take it off. you were just very unlucky...
