Hi Mikle_01,

Thanks for posting your MP3/MP4 player on the site. The more we have the better. I have seen this model before, but you are right, it isn't on this site, but it is now with you adding it :).

If you have time, upload your firmware as well and maybe you can put some more information about your player on it?

Looking at the display, it looks like a standard Actions board.

The PDF is GERMAN and not DUTCH (as you posted under Downloads/Manuals)

Manual: 1GB MP3/AMV Video Player Silber 1024MB Radio MP4 O2GS

Sorry, it's corrected now to say "German". Sorry about the confusion.

does this have a 1.5 or a 1.8 screen?

That just looks like the standard players in terms of firmware, I have not seen it before, it looks a bit weird how can you select on it? it looks like it only has 4 buttons, I have my 4-way jog dial thing, and what do you mean by information? what does it do? my instructions were amusing to read, its just trial and error really

Re: New MP4 Player

i bought my nano clone at the same ebay shop.. as far as i see it nearly all the "not nano clones" there were basically the same with the only difference being the button configuration... though i think concerning the abilities its also the same as the nano clone.. the difference here is only the size..

if your player menu looks like the one on the picture than you seem to have the same firmware as i have on my nano clone.. or at least the same design

hmm the ebay shop has been closed... seems they have sold all their mp3/4 players

What really irritates me is the fact that you have to press right (track forward) to go down in the menu, wish the keys could be re-mapped.

Hi,

I would like to know if we can identify a MP4 based in Sigmatel chipset (like 3504), by itīs display.

Is this MP4 based in Sigmatel chipset better than Actions ATJ2085W?

Best regards,

Roberto

I find some informations of Sigmatel based MP4 player in the topic bellow:

http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic.php?t=192

It seems that by the moment Actions based MP4 has more options for utilities and tips.

Users of Sigmatel MP4, can you show a picture of itīs display to see the differencies with a Actions MP4 display?

Robertoy

As far as I know (from manufacturers) and from players I have, what manufacturers do is source the parts and put them together.

The fake ipods are 'generic' or what they call 'common' cases. A manufacturer of MPx player would buy a bulk of them. Then they would choose the board/chip to buy and use with this case.

This will go the same with the screen. So unfort, it's very hard to tell if a player uses an Actions or Sigmatel or Sunplus board.

I think the best way to tell is by looking at the "Bootup", "Shut Down" and "main menu" items as they are generally the same and particular to particular boards.

Thank you for the reply and tips to try to identify models with different chipsets.

About "display", i was refering to the "main menu".

Main menu of Actions models are always similar, like the models bellow:

http://www.taipeitradeshows.com.tw/T...?ID=415&Lang=E

http://www.taipeitradeshows.com.tw/D...12-250x160.jpg

http://www.taipeitradeshows.com.tw/T...?ID=418&Lang=E

I like to see the "Main menu" of Sigmatel Models. this could be useful to help to identify this models.

Regarding the models bellow, this main menus are just variations of Actions models?

In the following topic a SMV player (sigmatel chipset):

http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic.php?t=170

A player with same look:

http://www.glomarket.com/en/showshop.php?id=2160

This is the "Main menu" of Sigmatel Models?

Best regards,

Roberto
