full screen playback 1.8"screen w/ PocketDivXEncoder ?
Hello Guys,
Has anyone had a chance to test drive that pocket PC Freeware posted here ? Any luck? Any problems? Please include a link so we can see your player, and maybe a link to show your results ? Let us know what settings you used... This would be hugely helpful to everyone. I think the PocketDivXEncoder Freeware could be the answer for those trying to obtain full screen playback in the 1.8" players, since it allows you to rotate the screen 90'. Please let us know... Thanks ! Iridium |
Re: full screen playback 1.8"screen w/ PocketDivXEncod
I have the 1.5 inch player and I used pocket divx encoder to encode my dvd, i set it at 128x128 resolution in the divx encoder, and used the default quality settings.
I then went to use the amv converter and it came up with strips of random parts of the screen while encoding, which hadnt happened to me before so I went back into pocket divx and selected "resynch video/audio" and it worked fine for me. here is a pic of my player with 2 fast 2 furious on it full screen, i think keeping the black bands on the film was good cos the people arent 2 stretched: http://www.imup2date.co.uk/myplayer.jpg 2 fast 2 furious on my player :) sorry for the crap picture quality, it was taken on my phone and the screen on the mp4 is really shiny  the video quality is good, but sometimes hard to see on dark screens (e.g night) |

hey fizzle05, thats one nice shiny player you have there, does it have a stainless steel front?
Iridium, I have a 2gig 1.8 screen Nano clone on the way when I get it I will try out full screen conversion and let you know. You can rotate video in AMV Converter 4.0 as well by applying these settings in the amvTransform.ini file. BMPADJUST=0 - Normal BMPADJUST=1 - Flip vertical BMPADJUST=2 - Flip horizontal (mirror) BMPADJUST=3 - Rotate 180 degrees BMPADJUST=4 - Rotate 90 degrees clockwise BMPADJUST=5 - Rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise |
Re: full screen playback 1.8"screen w/ PocketDivXEncod
Hey,
Thanks for the feedback guys. I had a hunch PPC tools would translate well for MPX. I've never seen it mentioned anywhere else tho. For batch converting pics to 128x128 etc. check out the Photo2PocketPC I posted somewhere else. Works great for me as well. tadad1, I've edited the amvTransform.ini in both 3.68 and 4.00, save, and it has never stuck. What I mean is, when I re-open the ini file, it's magically back to orig. parameters !?!? So.... just decided to use PocketDivXEncoder instead. Thanks tho, for the suggestion. Cheers! I |
