What is the benefit of updating firmware?
 

Hello, they excuse my ignorance for these players, that benefit is obtained updating firmware to the MP3/MP4 reproducer, can explain to me on the matter but. Thanks.

I don't see any benefit in updating the firmware on your player. The majority of the firmware are hard to keep track of. Most of the players use the same 'generic' shell casing but may have different solution boards inside them. So you can have two exactly the same looking mp3/mp4 players but the firmware used and board used can be completely different!

You won't uncover any 'magical' features by updating the firmware on your player. It's used as a backup and for people who want to 'reskin' their player to make the menus etc... look more pretty.

I strongly suggest to people to not try to update the firmware on their player if their player is working fine. You only need to read the "Firmware" section of our forum to see numerous posts about "dead" players from updating their players with incorrect firmware.
