Fabs,

You can backup your firmware using S1fwx Firmware Extractor http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...ile&file_id=15.
You need to be very sure when flashing firmware that your new firmware is compatible otherwise you can kill your player. The only reason you would want to update firmware is if your current firmware was corrupt or you wanted to change some of the images used. You will not add any new functions by updating.

Hope this helps.

ok thx,
I think I leave the current version on my player... But doesn't the newer version of a firmware makes my player a little bit faster? When I scroll through the songs it takes about 1 minute to get to the next folder (every folder has about 12 songs...)

no it will not alter the speed of the player, it is not possible. You are stuck with what you have unfortunately. But you can make it pretty

Agreed. Make it look pretty instead and customise it to your liking.
Don't risk having a 'dead player' just for the sake of having it run that little bit faster.
