Games

I bought a MP3 player and it has 1 game. (russian block) I was wondering is there a firmware for my MP3 player that has a lot of games? Heres my MP3 player  my MP3 player!
Thanks 8)

Re: Games

Different players have different configurations, my player looks the same as yours on the outside and has 3 games, but the two players may be completely different internally.

It is impossible to say what firmware would be compatible to your unit just by looking at it. You would need to open it up and find the model details.

If you find a firmware to suit your player be sure to do a backup firmware dump of yours before trying to upgrade it.

Re: Games

what would happen if I put a firmware that doesn't work with my MP3 player?

And could I fix it? and Yes I already backedup the firmware.

You could end up with a really pretty paper weight. I estimate about 75% of of posts in "help" forums on the net are from people who flashed there players with the wrong firmware and they no longer work. Only a small percentage seem to report that they recovered from a bad flash.

SO BE VERY CAREFUL. :(

To be honest I doubt if you can upgrade your games via firmware flash. I can only see two reasons why you would try to flash your player, if for some reason you players firmware became corrupt or you wanted to change your players graphics in which case it would be safer to modify your own firmware dump.

Ok I think I might just stay with my firmware for now. I just bought it so why break it now.
Thanks for you help.

Good idea.
Enjoy it firstly. When you've played around with it enough, try modifying the theme yourself and customise it. Don't worry too much about trying to get 'new features' as it will cause you more problems.
