movie play wrong left side right on 1.8" Boxter player
Hi,
I have a 1.8" Boxter mp4 player. It play movie file (.amv) 90 degree rotated. But also show the image left-side-right when it does that. I upload the same .amv file into my other 1.5" mp4 player and it show the movie correct left-right image. Does any one have the same problem and know how to set up the player or any frimware I can update it ? I tried the boxter.com.tw web site but found no answer (not even question) about it. Thanks -david |

david,
Never heard of this before. What format was original file? AVI, MPEG etc. Which amvconvert tool are you using? If ver 4.00, uninstall, and install 3.68. Test. If that doesn't work, try: 1 converting a different file type and test. 2 leave mode switch at default (2 I believe) 3 tick 'use other codecs' box Make sure all codecs are up to date 1st by downloading them here: http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...file&file_id=6 Post back results. Good luck, I. |

David, like Iridium I have not heard of this before. I know it is possible to set the converter to rotate the image 90 degrees or to flip the image (mirror) by editing the BMPADJUST setting in the amvtransform.ini
within the AMV Converter folder as follows BMPADJUST=0 - Normal BMPADJUST=1 - Flip vertical BMPADJUST=2 - Flip horizontal (mirror) BMPADJUST=3 - Rotate 180 degrees BMPADJUST=4 - Rotate 90 degrees clockwise BMPADJUST=5 - Rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise but flip and rotate is new to me. Check to see yours is not set to 3 but as you get different results on different players I don't think this will help. |
Re: movie play wrong left side right on 1.8" Boxter pla
Hi,
I used AMV converter tool v2.3 which is the only one I found can give me 128x98 resolution. I tried to install other version before but having problem with the installation. (it hang the system, or doesn't support 128x98 resolution). The convertion was set used default setting and the .amv files are played correct image on both my computer using AMV player and another mp4 player. so I don't think it's the file problem. The 1.8" Boxter mp4 player was set to play the video 90" rotated as default ( I was told by the sales person in Taiwan, but didn't notice it the example image from the demo player is mirror or not). I wonder if this is some wrong setup in my player. Thanks -david |

david,
What ver. of Windoze ? I will assume xp for this discussion. 1st. You must uninstall amvtools 2.3 (never heard of it, and it must certainly NOT support the correct resolution for your 1.8" screen) 2 download, and install sld codec pack, and dx 9, and media player from here: http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...gory&cat_id=12 3 reboot 4 INSTALL amvtools ver. 4.00 (supports correct 160x128 resolution for 1.8" screen) here: http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...le&file_id=118 5 reconvert project using these settings : 160x128, tick "use other codec" "high" framrate Upload product to player. test. Post your results. I. |
Hi,
After a couple of try with different version of amvtools. The only solution for this player is to set the BMPADJUST=2 - Flip horizontal (mirror) in the amvtransform.ini file under the mp3player folder for the video file convertion. I think the problem is due to the wrong fimware installed to the player so it play all the amv files left side right incorrectly (the same files play in the other player and computer correctly). Because I don't want to take the risk of changing the firmware, so I converte the video files with the mirror setting (BMPADJUST=2) so it looks correctly in the player. Thanks for all the feedback and help. -david |
lemis24601,
It is strange that your players behave differently with the same movie file. Maybe they have different boards who knows but as long as you have worked it out ok. |

david,
Thanks very much for posting back the solution. This helps us all learn. Sometimes it's a bit hard to diagnose a player you can't see, and sometimes the question has little detail in it. Glad you worked it out! Could you please edit original post and put " SOLVED " in it? Thx... |
