Mark, What is your player like?
You could try extracting your firmware with s1fwx, repairing it and loading it back to your player, sometimes this can fix little problems.

Mine is an ipod clone player black with 2 gb e and 1.5' display. "M" and not "Menu" button and center button "play/pause". Is it normal that the player is too slow? Do you know if the newer version of firmware are faster than 3.5.35?

Mark, My pma300_700 is not an iPod clone and has a1.8 TFT so I do not think it would be compatible.

I have a 1.5 Nano clone 3.5.35 with lotus flower theme that I was able to upgrade to 3.5.37 with this one DOWNLOAD
It is completely different (menu, boot screen etc) and only has one game
If you are going to try it be sure to backup your firmware and use it at your own risk.
