Lost Cable

Hi all,

(Great site Admins!!!)

I have lost my USB cable for my 2Gb MP4 player

It's one of those slim black ipod look alikes.

The USB connector was the standard A type (goes into computer) to a Mini B 8 Pin.

This is a very unusual shape and type. Looks like a D shape with two lugs on the straight part of the D and a protruding retaining type lug on the side of the curved part of the D

Does any one know where I can get one of these cables?

Buster, you could try a mobile phone shop as some phones use a similar cable to sync with pc's, or an electronics store like Tandy. Some PDAs use the same cable to.

They would be really cheap as well.

I've looked all over ebay and they can't be found. I've also surfed for ages and although you can find ones very close, you can never find the correct one. I will try the phone shops though.

If anyone knows exactly where I might find one it would be appreciated

how about other Mp3 player cables? I noticed my cable works in my Alba mp3 player as well as my mp4 player

I have the same problem. I didn't lost the cable but I want a second one. Didyoufindacableonebaythatworks?I ordered on that looks just like mine but it did't work. It worked for charging the player, but not working as a usb drive. It showed as an unknown usb device. And the connector near the player was becoming hot. I'm lost here. I thought if the connector would fit it would be ok...

Anybody found a working cable somewhere?
