I too have not seen an 8 Gig MPx player as well. I think your player had been 'hacked' to show more memory than is installed on your player.

How much did you get it for?

pacifico, While you have got the player open check the Brand and serial number of the memory chip (the biggest chip on the board) then using Google see if you can find information on the chips specifications. That should tell you the true size of you chip.

I don't have doubts about it's capacities, because I put many many files until to full my MPX, and I did not have problems with that.
I am goig to watch the chip information, and search in google, thank you for your replies, and your advises.
Please help me.

I installed the firmware 3.5.35 full version, and my MPX took it, but screen is gray, no menu, no picture.

What must I do???????

Do I need any software in order to get restore funtions, I have my mpx with it's firmware installed, but it does not live, no menu, no funtions. do I need any software?????

thank you ahead of time

pacifico, It is not the right firmware for your player. You need to try other 3.5.35 versions till you find the right one.

Pacifico,

After you've filled your player with files, have you tried playing them all to see if they all work? A lot of members have mentioned that even though it will allow you to copy them to the player, a 'hacked' player WON'T be able to play them all and produces a 'format error'.

I have not yet seen a 8 Gig player before, nor has any of the manufacturers of Mpx players in China I know can provide me with me as well.

Then again, you can confirm this by opening up your player.

Pacifico,

Sorry but it sounds like you got ripped off, although you may think the files got copied on your player, chances are they didn't and if you had tried to play most of them, they probably wouldn't play.

Contact whoever sold the player and get your money back, otherwise your going to end up with a 100MB capacity MPx player or a nice looking paper weight.
