Which online store did you buy your MPx player from?

Hi all,

To those who bought their MPx player from an online store (other than an auction sites like eBay), just interested to know:

1. Where you bought it from

2. What country did you order it from and

3. What the service was like?

It would be good to gather up some good sites (or bad) and feedback so to help others who are looking at buying an MPx player etc...

Re: Which online store did you buy your MPx player from?

Well i got my site and i think its great

No one from here has bought from me

There are other sites but from my experience eBay is where most of them are sold.

Just a word to the wise, if the price is too good, then chances are its a dud, i really wonder how some of the guys selling on eBay can sell them for cheap (considering i know how much the real cost is), from what i read here, it seems like a lot of the very cheap ones are 'hacked', becareful.

I got mine from a gatalog site (USA):

http://pcmemoryco.net/catalog/produc...roducts_id=210

Service was quick to respond to questions and the shipping (ground) took about a week. The only thing wrong is the description for the player, as it does not run on batteries.

admin 17th Jul 2006 1:53 am

mp4fun,

The link goes to the "8GB MP4" player. Did you actually buy the 8GB MP4 player or a different player?

gta3dude 25th Jul 2006 6:41 pm

I got mine from made in china for $35. Its a 1GB nanoish

I bought my EZCOOL 2gig Nano clone from Deals Direct for $139AUD....not overly cheap, so now I'm looking at Global Sources to find a maufacturer/distributor of Nano clones, who will sell me small lots of clones, at a better price

newbaby 1st Aug 2006 2:48 am

mp4fun,
Have you really check that you're actually getting the "real" 8GB because this store is notoriously famous for the hack version[ Actual capacity normally a lot less than what being sold - probably its only 128MB]. Go to resellerratings.com shows a lot of unsatisfied buyer.

I bought my mp4 players on the swedish TRADERA which is a branch of EBAY

I bought them for a smal amount, 2X2Gb for about 130-140 euros
(1400 sek)

http://www.tradera.com/category/auct...8&catid=170102

http://www.tradera.com/auction/aid_31327491

some links to the one seller I bought from

then I feel for a bougous a 4GB player hahahaha..

But I´ve contacted the seller and he was suprised so explained it to him and I wainting for an answer about how we are gonna proceed..

And if I can format it so it becomes a 2 gb player again...

Well, if it is a 2 gig player, you could have got one off ebay including inshured postal service to your doorstep for just under 60 euro. The player itself offered for 22,50 to 33 euro! They seem to make up with low/high postal rates, sometimes even 35 British pounds, that's over 52 euro for sending!
The seller should pay you back the difference between the price for a 4 gigger and a 2 gigger.
If he also sells 2 giggers, it's an easy count, not? :P

lekie 9th Aug 2006 1:58 pm

Oki sounds nice but I might need to explain that its not the same dealer I bought the 2 GB players and the 4 GB (that I just manage to format to it original state 2GB, using the hp usb formatter. And then formating it with Windows again after rebooting).

The thing is I bought one of the 2 GB players for about 60 euros and the other for closer to 80 euros thats why the sum price whent up..

And I heard more from the sealer he wants to find a soloution to the problem and I have also informed him more about the players so he has som meat on the bones when he gets in touch with his contacts.

thats all folks :P

1. I bought my 4 gig on ebay from this seller named THEMP3ZONE.

2. I ordered from Canada, best part is that the seller is in Canada, he also ships to the states. Way better than taking a gamble overseas.

3. I was surprised, shipping was lightning fast. It came the next day.

Player worked well, item was brand new and it actually held about 4 gigs of space. I was a little worried as alot of people mentioned 'hacked' players. It looked exactly like a nano.

Here's his ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/themp3zone

The player looks really nice. What is the size of the display, 1.5" or 1.8"? What firmware version is in it? I wish it's a newer ATJ chip. Thanks...

princessanne1026 28th Oct 2006 7:04 pm

From August till now, I've purchased 3 mp4 players between these two sites: www.campus111.com and www.pigpony.com.

They have really good prices in my opinion and are also found on eBay under the ids campus111 and pig-pony. The first mp4 I bought was a 1.5" with double speakers and double headphones in 512mb for $31.95 plus $9.95 shipping, the second was the same except 1gb for $37.95 plus $9.95 shipping, and the 3rd was 1.8" for $33.95 with free shipping (must have been a mistake on their part because no other product had free shipping). However, I ordered it the 3rd of October and still have not received it! They said it got lost in the mail or something and that they were out of stock on it so they couldn't reship another one, so I'm going through with a refund and will hopefully try my luck elsewhere. I think my particular situation in not receiving the mp4 player was abnormal so I'm not going to bash them because of it. They have really good communication and are located in the U.S.

Re: Which online store did you buy your MPx player from?

I ordered the 2gb "glacier" fromUxcell.com.

A friend of mine ordered the "palladium" there last week and my brother & sister are also gonna order one of those sleek players soon they've told me.

In my opinion Uxcell is one of the best e-stores where you can get these players: the price is very competitive and they don't overcharge with shipping costs, unlike some other e-stores.

Re: Which online store did you buy your MPx player from?

Hi,
My MP4 comes from eBay, here : http://stores.ebay.com/NumberOne-Digital

Glacier 2GO + post fee = 54,94$ 8)

Good & serious seller, delivery in a strong parcel.
:!: Warning, not really fast (15-20days)
Warning, you must have a confirmed address and not be a new profile on eBay to bide anything in their shop.
Good price and I always received my items.
Every player has true memory features here. Verified : No hacked players.
 I already bought them : 5 glacier 2go, 3 nano clones 2go and even 1 mp4 2go with the two speakers on the sides.

My first player was bought to eshopwindow but as you can guess now, the 8Go mp4 was hacked and finally was a 1Go mp4. I have sent it back and worked hard to have a full refund. My only chance was I had used Paypal services. Paypal insurance refunds me. But I still try to have my return post fee cot to be refund. Recently the seller is no more register on eBay

I give you the address to share my experience.
But regarding the delivery delay (and currently the draw and even because they are official sponsors)
I ask you to consider Uxcell offer as a good opportunity.
Maybe a little more expensive but sure and fast. You see...

Music sounds nice and makes life smile :P

Hi i fake,

Just bear in mind that currently, there isn't a 4GB MP4 player that is a TRUE 4GB in storage. All have been 'hacked' to show 4GB instead. ACTIONS chipped players can only hold 2GB as their maximum storage capacity due to limiation on the actual chip itself.

If you can find otherwise, please let us know as currently we have not seen one 'true' 4GB MP4 player yet. Though obviously this could change as there are advances in the chip boards, but currently, there hasn't been a true 4GB MP4 player identified yet.

Re: Which online store did you buy your MPx player from?

Thought I'd add a couple more reputable sellers to the list: ebay sellers tinydealdirect and audionvideo. Audionvideo isn't currently selling, but I received an e-mail that they are currently taking stock of their inventory. They should start listing again sometime soon though. I got 2 players from tinydealdirect, this: http://pic1.ebuyhk.com/gallery/f11.jpg and this: http://pic1.ebuyhk.com/gallery/s1501gd.jpg

both were reasonable - $43.90 and $45.95

As for audionvideo, that was a complete steal - a 2gb nanoclone (my first!) for around $45.
