Here is a guy on ebay that appears to be selling phony players.
Note how he has 99% positive FB yet all the complaints are for phony memory, yet he continues to sell them. Also note how he has made past sales "private" so you may not track the phony items:

This shows me that he knows exactly what he is doing, and knows most people will leave FB before their unhappy discovery :( .
I would put "hitekgear " in the AVOID column.
As well as any other seller offering a 4gb nand flash player that is nonbranded.

About a month ago i ordered a glacier 4gb (and some other stuff) from here (yha, at that time i've already read stuff about hacked player, but i didn't care :oops: ):

when the parcel arrived the player wasn't in it ( :evil: f***, i was already expecting a hacked 2gb player or soo but not a "theft" :cry: ), then i wrote this to the seller:

My order (Order ID: OID20070500107) has arrived yesterday but there are some problems:
1. These items aren't the ones that i've ordered:

2. This items wasn't even shipped:

I really don't care about the "wrong" items but i would like to receive the missing item.
Please don't try to fool me by saying that the item was shipped (the "envelop" in wich the things arrived were too small for the MP4 box, the item wasn't stolen during shippement because the package was still sealled when it arrived, and on the back of the package the list of products didn't include it).
I've trusted you, in your services and this is what i get in return?
i think that i've the right to the missing item or at least get its value back.

3 weeks later the player arrived (a lot of time, mainly due to the bad portuguese mail service :wink: ).
the first thing i did with it was charcing it for about 4h (the power button must be on, and when the message "Finish charge" appear on the screeen then it's full).
Second thing, test the audio and video... all ok (and a great screen quality 220x176 in a 2 inches display).
Third thing, open it up and check for the memory chip...
I slide the back of the player, remove the baterry and kinda pop the plastic on the back of the baterry case (it's just glued) when i depared with only one memory chip (please God... at least 1GB please :cry: )...
...cross your fingers...
:D f***, when i searched on the web for it (on samsung's site) it sayd that it was trully a 4GB unit (32GBit) (right now i dont have the model number with me but i will post it later when i arrive home).

final thoughts:
i'm just a luky guy :oops:

Ya what i though was a 4gb Mp4 player wasn't it only holds 100 songs what the heck how could i be so dumb!


Ya i really not sure what to do i got it off ebay. i dont want to make a big deal out of it please any suggestions????

All i wanted was an Mp4 player so i could play videos :(.

First off, did you format it and what did that say? Most players only hold 99 songs per folder, so try making another folder and adding more songs.

The format said that i only had 474 MB

holy crap i got avideo on it kinda messed up gonna take it off and try another one.
