I just posted that i doubt he is gonna give me money and i am probably gonna have to escalate it with Paypal.

It's my fault i should have done research before buying it. I was just to excited and bought it i have learned my lesson now!

Don't feel bad. This board is here for a reason. Almost all of us here have gotten scammed. I bought a hacked player back in January that was supposed to be 4gb. It turned out to be 1. I didn't catch on until too late and couldn't even file a claim thru Paypal.

Got another hacked one for my nephew. I knew going in that this one was hacked, but it was still a great deal at $13 and figured even if it turned out to be 1gb that is plenty of space for a 9yr old. (Couple of videos and some songs). Turned out to be a 512mb so I filed a claim on this one. Pretty much told the seller the same thing you told yours. He offered me a full refund to ship back at my cost. NO WAY. Agreed to a partial refund and keep the player, but the seller screwed up and ended up giving me the full amount back. LOL! Served him right.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is not to feel bad. Sometimes you see a great deal and jump on it without thinking. We've all done it so don't blame yourself. The only ones at fault are the scammers and eBay for allowing it to continue.

Awwwww thanks makes me feel better awww ya thats true lol ya i am not paying to ship it because i figured if i did i would never get my money from him or a "new" mp3 from him.

I actually saw an Mp3 for 2GB at JCpenny's advertised in their magazine so maybe idk. It was only $70.

You might also check out the Meizu deal at Newegg. They've got 4gb Meizu M6 for $89.00 after a $10.00 mail in rebate. $4.99 shipping.

Meizu's are great players and have wonderful sound and quality video playback. If you're wanting a player that does it all, Meizus are the way to go.

There's also some pretty good deals on them at House of DAP and JTC Electronics, but Newegg is the cheapest I've seen. Tadad has a informative review somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't find it.

bclover4ever 29th Jul 2007 8:49 pm

O ok thanks ya idk lol I acutally have an ipod but its only 1GB the reason i wanted the mp4 player was to paly videos ya know and hold more music lol i just want something resonable kinda cheap that works and is not hacked ya know. Hmmm may have to look but cause spenin $60 on the hacked player might have to wait a little bit to get a different player.

Re: hacked "4, 8Gb" player

Hello community

currently I am in Shanghai, China.
Last Sunday I bought two IPOD 8GB ( FW Wilson 9.1.52) player at a shop in Old Shanghai road. Later I checked the players by up - download some files. The files became corrupt and none of the file was readable neither with the player nor with the notebook.
Then I found this community and applied the suggested WA "formating the player" with the tool but only 100MB remains on both player !

I went back to the shop and got two new player. This time I checked the the shop. No further problems even after they were re-formatted
The lady there told that this is a known problem of such fake IPOD !!!

BTW. On the delivered CD I found a link to a webside where some tools / download s are available for such players: www.gojoin.cn. It's in Chinese characters but with the help of translation add-on for Firefox it is possible to translate.

Greetings
Fireman

Re: hacked "4, 8Gb" player

Hi All
New member just got stuffed with one of these 4gig mp3, my chip is a HY27UT088G2M which is a 1gig so have got on to the seller,be interesting what he has to say I also had 2 virus's on the player as well.

I bought mine before I read up on this scam there must be hundreds of these things being sold can't understand how it is being allowed to go on for so long

Update on this post and I have done 3 formats with ANAPOD REINITIALIZER and ANAREINT_100 and my disk is showing 4gig (strange).

I contacted the seller and he wants a screen shot but as I said mine is showing 4gig but the chip is supposed to be a 1gig,any help would be appreciated
