It only let me put 27 songs on and 1 video what the heck!!!! When i try to add more to the folder it says like their is no more space or somethin.
Is their anyway at all i can get more memory on the Mp4???????
It's not even whole songs ok this ridicaulous!
I need some help please!
Sounds like your player is hacked. File a dispute with Paypal immediately stating Item is not as listed.
Where is that on PayPal?
Check the thread you started. I put down the steps you need to follow. Hope it helps.
OK i am at the dipute thing its confussing Case ID???
The guy e-mailed me and i was asking him how to put the music and stuff on the Mp4 should i tell him that he scammer me or jsut give a dispute?
Did you just go into Resolution Center? Right under where it says Resolution Center in smaller type it says Report a Problem, click on that.
Yup i'm at the part where i wrote him a quick message.
I put this 'I know that the Mp4 was hacked. I tried to put more then 100 songs on it and it would not let me. I also formated it and was wrong. Not enough space for more songs.'
Remember to mark you calender. If he fails to communicate with you within a certain amount of time and resolve it, you can escalate the dispute. If you don't escalate and the date passes, you cannot continue the claim.
OK is that ok what i wrote?
Sounds good to me. Just remember if he contacts you to resolve it, don't let him bully you. Some sellers blame it on the buyer for formatting and act like you don't know what you're talking about. They will also act like they are innocent and don't know how something like that could possibly have happened. Stick to your guns.
If he's an honest seller and he got ripped off by the supplier, he will try to make it right with you, not blame it on you. |
Ok i just sent it thank you so much for all ur help i might be back for ur help :). If u dont mind :).
He said'the mp3 player is not hacked or misrepresented in any way i have sold over 300 of the same players on e bay and would have a lot of complaints about this if it were true. it says not to try and reformat the memory or it will harm the player and you did so the warranty is void as stated clearly in my listing. also it says it will hold up to 1000 songs and it depends on the size of the file. it is 4 gb. and thats what it holds. you are not suppost to format it they are ready to go right out of the box. you messed it up there was nothing wrong with it or the others i have sold.or i would have bad feedback and no customers'
What do i say?
Re: hacked "4, 8Gb" player
This is what i put
'It is misrepresented you say it will hold 1000 songs. But it really only holds 100. Well I saw on some of your feeback that you also had negitive feeback. it was about the mp3 player. It is to hack. It does not hold 1000 songs only 100. Also when i uploaded songs to the mp3 player some of the songs did not fully play. I know for fact I had the whole songs. But it didnt not play on the mp3 when i tried playing them. I did nothing wrong.' What the heck do i do???? |
Formatting will NOT hurt the player. He's trying to bluff you and obviously lying. That whole thing about voiding the warranty is a load of crap. He will start receiving negative feedback before too long. Wait a day or two and if he doesn't respond to your Paypal complaint, escalate it.
What wil escalating do? Man i feel so dumb i feel like i can't back myself up u know more about this then i do.
Escalating indicates to Paypal that you cannot resolve the issue with the seller. On second thought, I would wait a couple of weeks before escalating. That way you don't seem unreasonable. There is no guarantee that Paypal will give you money back but you have a better chance if they think you worked to resolve and the seller was unreasonable.
If you haven't given feedback yet, I would. Say something like: Hacked memory to read 4gb. Check www.mympxplayer.org That will give other buyers a heads up and maybe clue some others onto their hacked players. Providing the link to here will give credibility to your feedback. The more people who catch on and start leaving negative feedback, the better your chances of Paypal ruling in your favor. Be warned, if you do this, he will probably leave you negative feedback in return. |
So wait a couple weeks casue the deadline is August 17th I already left him positive feed back :(
o ok. Thanks i really apprecaite all your help! thank you |
I think that eBay took the option off for going back in and leaving additional comments didn't it? Darn! Since you've got until August 17th, I would try contacting him again through Paypal and tell him that you know all about memory hacks and scammers telling people not to format their players. Let him know you're not going away or giving up easily. You can always escalate the claim around August 15th or 16th.
If you decide to look into another player, I would recommend buying from someplace other than eBay. There are several reputable stores that sell non-hacked players. If you do buy from eBay check out the Blacklist or eBay Petition for a list of bad sellers or start a thread and ask if anyone has used a certain seller. We can also recommend players. Several people on this board own a variety and could steer you in the right direction. I'm sorry you got scammed. Most of us here know how you feel. It really sucks! |
Awww ok thank you for much ya.
I think im gonna wait to sa that to him like give him like till tomorrow and see's if reply's back to my message. I doubt he will though idk.
This is what the guy wrote.
'you reformatted it and thats all thats wrong thats why we say DO NOT REFORMATT and thats what happened just send it back and we will send it to the manufactuer to see if it has a factory defect its very easy to find out and if it is we will send you another one very simple thanks' I don't feel like shipping it back nor do i want another one. I should't have to ship it back this was not my fault. |
I was gonna put
'Look I know about the Memory Hacks and you telling people to not reformat. The only reason you say not to reformat is because thats how the people now you are scamming them off. I feel that i shouldn't have to ship back the Mp3. I shouldn't have to ship it back for something that was ur fault. I shouldn't have to pay the money for that. I dont want a new Mp3. I just feel that i should get my money back. ' But idk what do you think? |
Sounds good! He's full of sh*t telling you not to format and factory defects.
I know he is
I just posted that i doubt he is gonna give me money and i am probably gonna have to escalate it with Paypal.
It's my fault i should have done research before buying it. I was just to excited and bought it i have learned my lesson now! |
Don't feel bad. This board is here for a reason. Almost all of us here have gotten scammed. I bought a hacked player back in January that was supposed to be 4gb. It turned out to be 1. I didn't catch on until too late and couldn't even file a claim thru Paypal.
Got another hacked one for my nephew. I knew going in that this one was hacked, but it was still a great deal at $13 and figured even if it turned out to be 1gb that is plenty of space for a 9yr old. (Couple of videos and some songs). Turned out to be a 512mb so I filed a claim on this one. Pretty much told the seller the same thing you told yours. He offered me a full refund to ship back at my cost. NO WAY. Agreed to a partial refund and keep the player, but the seller screwed up and ended up giving me the full amount back. LOL! Served him right. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is not to feel bad. Sometimes you see a great deal and jump on it without thinking. We've all done it so don't blame yourself. The only ones at fault are the scammers and eBay for allowing it to continue. |
Awwwww thanks makes me feel better awww ya thats true lol ya i am not paying to ship it because i figured if i did i would never get my money from him or a "new" mp3 from him.
I actually saw an Mp3 for 2GB at JCpenny's advertised in their magazine so maybe idk. It was only $70. |
You might also check out the Meizu deal at Newegg. They've got 4gb Meizu M6 for $89.00 after a $10.00 mail in rebate. $4.99 shipping.
Meizu's are great players and have wonderful sound and quality video playback. If you're wanting a player that does it all, Meizus are the way to go. There's also some pretty good deals on them at House of DAP and JTC Electronics, but Newegg is the cheapest I've seen. Tadad has a informative review somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't find it. |
O ok thanks ya idk lol I acutally have an ipod but its only 1GB the reason i wanted the mp4 player was to paly videos ya know and hold more music lol i just want something resonable kinda cheap that works and is not hacked ya know. Hmmm may have to look but cause spenin $60 on the hacked player might have to wait a little bit to get a different player.
So the guy message me back today and said if i return the mp3 he will give me my moeny back ya right! mHe also said it was my fault that i mesed up the format no i didnt gosh he is stupid!

Re: hacked "4, 8Gb" player
Hello community
currently I am in Shanghai, China. Last Sunday I bought two IPOD 8GB ( FW Wilson 9.1.52) player at a shop in Old Shanghai road. Later I checked the players by up - download some files. The files became corrupt and none of the file was readable neither with the player nor with the notebook. Then I found this community and applied the suggested WA "formating the player" with the tool but only 100MB remains on both player ! I went back to the shop and got two new player. This time I checked the the shop. No further problems even after they were re-formatted The lady there told that this is a known problem of such fake IPOD !!! BTW. On the delivered CD I found a link to a webside where some tools / download s are available for such players: www.gojoin.cn. It's in Chinese characters but with the help of translation add-on for Firefox it is possible to translate. Greetings Fireman |
