Help finding "dump.bin"
 
Firstly, let me congratualte you on the site. Excellent information from the forum, however i have a question. i am new to this so it may be a stupid one.

Where do i find the dump.bin file that is needed to change things.

My player is a Ipod clone 2gb 1.8" screen

SC85056A
2006/04/04
Act-V3.5.57

All i really want to do is get rid of the stupid flower picture when playing music. :)

Papa bear,
The only sure way to ungrade your theme without killing your player is to extract the firmware from your player then theme it yourself.

Here are the resources you need to do this.
S1fwx to extract and repair your firmware. DOWNLOAD
A guide to using s1fwx HERE
s1res to change the images in your firmware DOWNLOAD
A guide on using s1res HERE

You can find many themes and images that members have uploaded HERE

If you have a 1.8 Lotus Flower theme this may be a good one to start with as I think you will find all the file names the same. HERE
