Guest, If you have tried the charger and another USB cord the only other thing I can think of is the player must be turned on for it to charge, otherwise it is a faulty player and you should contact the seller for repair or refund.

last thing i will try is leave it having a long song playing while it charges

if it still doesnt work i guess i will have to return it  such a shame, i love this thing.

So far, success seems to be happening

I have been sitting here listening to a very long dj set i uploaded to the mp3 player while the usb cable is plugged in. i unplugged it for a second and the battery bar is 1/4 full. i also took it apart earlier and smushed the battery in tighter

hopefully it shall charge the whole way i will let you know

Guest, When you plug the player in it should show a connection screen and there should be a little battery indicator that displays an animation while the battery is charging. If the screen goes into sleep mode and turns off that is ok and it should come out of sleep mode when you push a button and still be charging.

yes it did have that screen and the sleep mode and it was still not charging at all before.

it seem to only be working when i leave songs playing on it now while it charge.

i am hoping it will charge to more than a 1/4 on the indicator

it is another success to be noted

i unplugged usb again to see that it has blinked at half-way mark on the indication but has not stayed at half yet

but it seem to becoming more charged

i will leave usb plugged in and song running overnight to hopefully have it attain a charge of full

i will inform you

excellence!!! thank you tadad for recommending to leave it on and have the songs play when i recharge i think the method is working as the indicator is now 3/4 full

i am very happy that the mp4 player does not need a return  hopefully this is luck that will continue.
