New Player w/ Upgraded Firmware w/ File Browsing!!
 

Well in a few days I will receive my 2GB 1.8" Color TFT Screen mp4 Player. It has the file browsing function that many are awaiting and the TFT screen provides for a better clarity in picture.There was someone else who had file browsing in their firmware but this is a little updated. Check out the pictures!

You can see how great the clarity is although the protective film is still on, the player is really upgraded from previous models! Let me know what you think!

bsaylors, Looks good, what are the firmware details and are you able to extract and repair it?

Hey Tadad1, The firmware version is 3.5.37 however this one has all the menus unlocked and all the games unlocked - a total of 4 games and the menu does include the telephone book unlike some other 3.5.37 versions. Also, I do not have the player as yet as I will be receiving it in 2-3 days. I will post more detailed pictures and reviews when it arrives :)

Hey Admin, This type of player most sellers will not offer however my friend YuYu from the ebay Store ( http://stores.ebay.com/yuyuelecstore ) will start selling them soon. He has some really great products and he also has the new Sony Mp3 player that hasnt even released in the United States as yet so thats really cool. He has some good stuff, I dont really know what price he is going to put them up for, but knowing him its going to be a good deal. ill check with him and let you know soon :) also once i get the player ill post detailed pictures!

bsaylors, Checked out the link, looks good the only thing that would put me off is the MTV video format uses no compression and the files are huge.
Other than that looks cool.

Just wanted to clarify that his players play AMV format too, so maybe thats not a turn off :) . I have 3 players from him (for my brother, etc) and they all work great and yeah, i agree MTV files are big but it does play AMV even though its not stated.

Very nice player indeed. Especialy the ble browsing feat. Is it posible to add this feature to another player somehow? And what do you mean all the menus and games are "unlocked"?

Well on the other players with the 3.5.37 firmware you may not have the telephone book option and you will only have one game (tetris) but in this version you have the telephone book function and you have all 4 games factory unlocked :)

I have the ONKI 1.8 2GB player it has file and folder browsing within all menues, no games.

Not sure if the screen is LCD or TFT the manual that came with it is not for the player, the picture quality is very good (sharp and clear).

sorry to hijack this thread but...
I Just updated my 2GB players firmware hoping to gain the file browsing option(?) but it's still not there. i tried 3.5.37 but that just left my player in limbo... had to switch back. can anyone please help me out, the player works fine but with out the Browsing option it's just no fun.

Unfort if you tried flashing your player and you still dont' have the file browsing (btw, I'm happy you didn't get a 'dead player' as a result) then it seems like the settings and changes in that firmware is not compatible with your player.

Ah i was affraid of that... strange that it does not support the browser,. you know the old firmware showed a lyrics graphic when the music was playing but i couldn't navigate the controls to access it. i think it was just there for show anyways.

I guess the firmware update didn't kill my player cause i followed all the steps your site prescibes in order to do it as safe as possible.
