Rotate everything counterclockwise?

My player seems slightly different than all the other players - everything is displayed landscape. Compared to the real nano, the image has been rotated clockwise 90 degrees. I would like to make it display normally. Is there a way to do this? For all the full screen bitmaps, i merely rotated it counterclockwise to make it upright, but for sprites and the menus/features that use small images, that won't work (havent tried it, but I assume so). Is there a way to get around this? Thanks for any help.

Just for reference my player is: 1.8" Super Nano
Firmware Page says:
"Acts 16D_37 2006/04/14
W-3.2.13
2005/11/10"
But MP3 Tools MP3 Player Software Upgrade Tool says: v3.5.37
Chip: ATJ2085P

bliushift, While you can rotate the images text and image location are coded so you would have to do some serious script editing to achieve this.
Would it be possible to upload your firmware to the site as I know of one other person who is looking for it to help them with a problem.

Cheers

Re: Rotate everything counterclockwise?

The original firmware has been uploaded. Awaiting confirmation. I converted all the full screens to normal; however, all the individual features use sprites so I can't really do anything about that.

Now in terms of this scripting, has someone done it before? I would be interested in modifying the code if it is reasonable to learn.

Also, a couple random questions - where do I find the "initializing screen" and hourglass sprites? I can't find it in my UI30RES->icon folder. Also, does the player require 24-bit bmps or will it also display 32-bit bmps?

Thanks a lot.

bliushift, There is a program in the Download>Tools section called Waterlily that has an option to change the Boot hourglass, I have not used it but you could try.
24-bit is the standard I do not think 32-bit will even load in s1res.

The link is dead. Gives me internal server error. I'll try later.

Hex editor would take forever, unless you know whats going on already. Guess and check will potentially screw up your player anyways.

MPXPIMP

When you say "images", do you mean the .AMV videos and photos too? They are all inverted? Or only when you try to modify the theme with your own images that it's inverted?

MPXPIMP

is it that EVERYTHING is inverted? because there might be a hardware problem if so. Mine is 160x128 vs 128x160 so it is obviously software. If it isn't a hardware problem, as soon as I figure out how to edit the code I'll let you know.

by the way, I have the same firmware as the player listed under New Player Review. I'm currently converting doon's theme to it and adding a little of my own - apparently it's going on all the new players. I'll post it when I'm done.
