Default Anyone got their mp4 player replaced or refunded before?

I recently bought a mp4 player and it is still on 12 month warranty. Today, I found that the screen has been smashed, but the player works perfectly fine. It is the screen/plastic that cover ups the screen. I don't know how it happened but it probably broked while it was in my bag.

Does anyone know if I could possibly get it replaced? or even getting it fixed? Because I contacted the store and they told me to call the company, but the company is not opened today and the office is not near where I live.

Has anyone had this happen before? Is it possible for me to fix it by myself, like replacing a cover/screen? If so, how and where can I get the items?

thank you very much. I'm actually really stressed about it.

Tina, Try a clock repair or glazier either could cut you a new piece of glass to size.

ok Thanks. Do you know where I can get them or how to actually fix it? I'm not even sure if I'm able to take the broken pieces of glass/plastic off the screen. I'm afraid that I might scratch it.

so I should use glass? because the material looks like it is plastic.

tina, if you want to be daring, open the player up, this will sepertare the glass screen from the actual screen, then remove the broken pieces, as long as your careful, you won't need to worry about scratching the screen.

You can probably goto any hobby store and buy a small thin sheet of clear plastic, just cut it to the right dimensions and glue it in place.

This will have solved your problem, but if you want it more professionally done, you'll need to take it to a store, i am pretty sue even the manufacturer of the product won't replace the screen as 'accidents' such as yours are not covered in most types of warrentys.
