Is it worth the headache of a return???

So I just had that awful moment when I realized my nice new 4GB mp4 player is really a 2GB. I've had it about a week when I hit the 2GB wall and started getting "Format Error." A little investigating has brought me to this great website. I paid $73 US (total with shipping). Is a return really worth all the problems? The fighting with the seller, PayPal, ebay...etc. Is $73 US a bad price for a 2GB (1.5" Nano clone)? Is it worth keeping? The player works pretty good otherwise. I wanna complain just because I was lied to, but will anybody listen? Will I lose out on the shipping costs anyway?

ps- The seller's profile on eBay is "supperauction." BEWARE. Surprisingly, only one other person has given negative feedback about their 4's being 2's. Either I'm the only guy getting screwed or no one else has filled their player up yet. Or maybe they don't know how to "truly" format it.

chino_morino, You should lodge some form of complaint with ebay and paypal otherwise they just keep getting away with it and ripping more people off. You need to open your player and note the serial number and brand of your memory chip( the largest on the board), then doing a Google search with the info will find your chip specs.

Most people take a little while to fill there players past the 2GB size so it can be weeks before they start having problems by which time either warrenty is expired and they have already placed feedback.

Formatting the player will generally restore the original size but you may have to use a formating tool if Windows has problems doing it. You can get the HP Format tool HERE

If the player is working OK you may as well keep it as you say you have more than likely done your shipping charges.
