MyMPxPlayer.org back (again)

Hi all,

Well, I think we're making progress.

As you probably saw a few days ago, we experienced a huge problem with our database. Luckily I had a backup and was able to reinstate it again.

However, it didn't backup last week's posts. So unfortunately that means the site is the way it was about two weeks ago when we were with GoDaddy.com.

Also, we have forwarded links from MyMPxPlayer.com to here now so we should have two sites going to one place now.

Let me know if you are experiencing any problems.

Sorry about all this and let's look ahead to building a great site together! :D

Glad to see your back "again" . Hope it stays that way and you don't have any more troubles .
Cheers mate.

have been going through withdrawals

admin 1st Sep 2006 8:31 pm

Thanks deadringer for comments. I really hope to not have any more problems from now on.

I hate to have the site down and it's been a mission trying to get it back up (as I know bugger all about Apache and Linux!).

Luckily I had my web hosting company, Webair help me out.

thanks god the site is back...and its run very fast too..good work

admin 1st Sep 2006 9:54 pm

Spartacus

Thanks for letting me know.
The problem was last week, the site was running really slow. Sometimes doesn't display at all!

I think Webair has solved the problem for us and the site seems to run much faster. *fingers cross*.

Nice to see you up and running.
One thing for your attention- can't download a thing.
Always get...
'You can not download this file directly from another site!'

I am trying to download directly from your site log-in.

All the best
Charles

Re: MyMPxPlayer.org back (again)

Hi Charles,

Which domain did you come to the site in? If it's mympxplayer.COM, then you might have problems as I'm trying to disable 'leeching' and 'hot linking' from other sites.

If you try going to mympxplayer.org instead, you should be able to download fine.

I have made the change now so that anyone coming in from www.mympxplayer.com, will be forwarded onto www.mympxplayer.org instead. Then it should work.

Hi.
Yes, I am on www.mympxplayer.com but no joy. Tried everything.
I use to download OK before your system went down.

Leave it with you for a bit and pop back later to see if any change.

All the best
Charles

I Pray for it !
THANX u are BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!

admin 2nd Sep 2006 2:09 pm

Jen,

I think you are using a @hotmail.com email address right?

Try using something else other than @hotmail.com as for some reason, activation emails are not coming through on hotmail.com emails from other people as well.

Gmail or Yahoo should be fine.

Let me know if that solves your problem.

Also, we don't send any advertising selling pills, so I think it might be spam from someone else and not from us.

Hooray...you're back!
I just received my nano clone from eBay when the site went down. Talk about withdrawal. I did find S1mp3.org which is a similar website, but it's not quite the same as this one. Really glad to have you back.

zwiebug and Charles, I only have noticed this problem when using Firefox browser it does not seem to happen in IE. If you drag the download shortcut to the address bar you will find that the file will download without any problems.

Jen

Can you please post a new thread for your problem?

Also, what is your username you are creating on the site? I'll check it on the system.
