Problems downloading from the site?

Hi all

I just saw two posts from people saying they are having problems downloading from this site.

Is anyone else having problems downloading from this site?

If so, can you please do the following:

1. Check that you are coming into the site from www.mympxplayer.org instead.

2. Tell me what file it is that you are trying to download.

3. What the error message is.

4. What internet browser and version you are using.

I know some files are 'broken' because the backup of those files didn't come down probably so I will have to reupload them again. This might take some time as my upload speed is a mere 128Kbps :(.

Can't download from the "Samples" thread. I was trying to download the "Unwell" song with lyrics, since I haven't found out how to do lyrics yet.

Good spotting.

That would be some of the files that didn't get backed up properly.

I will be uploading that soon. Thanks.

DOes Winrar freeze up on .rar files only? Or does it try to open .7z files too?

Also, can you let me know which files they are? Location-wise?

I'll check them out.

hey i just downloaded mp3 utilities 3.68 but i can uninstall it..i think there's a virus can anybody help me? pls? im so sorry..=(

tadad1 8th Sep 2006 5:39 am

Crystal, you may need to try one of the other versions 3.57 or 4.00. I think the virus alert is a misread as the version has been out for about 12 months and the problem has only been happening over the last month or so. you can download the other versions from Downloads\Tools section pages 2 and 3.

Crystal 8th Sep 2006 5:51 am

huh?? im sorry but i don't understand..err..i downloaded the program already but an error always appears when i try to remove it from the control panel..pls help me im sorry for the trouble..=)

tadad1 8th Sep 2006 6:23 am

Crystal, sorry I misread your post and thought you were having trouble installing it. You will have to uninstall it manually by deleting the program folder, then open regedit and navigate to the following entries
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\
You will find a series of subfolders with alpha numeric names like this {7784A172-61F1-445E-8368-601607E0DD22} click on each one until you find the entry related to MP3 Player Utilities 3.68 displayed in the right panel, then delete this folder.
Do the same thing at this address
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Pro ducts\

You should now be able to install one of the other versions.

admin 8th Sep 2006 2:22 pm

You should be able to download it now.

To add to tadad's questions, what internet browser are you using as well?
