Default Scrolling through music

Sorry for the vague subject line, I wasnt exactly sure how to name it. I was wondering if its possible to get the firmware to display a list of all songs so that I can select them instead of having to scroll through them one by one to get to a song that i wanted to listened to. I was looking at the theme modified by "doon" and would like to do that mod but if this is possible as well then I wanted to mod the firmware altogether. I posted the specs of my fw in my sig. Thanks a lot

rccardude909,

This is one of the most annoying features about chiPods.

Most players only have the ability to browse folders, so you can select a folder you want to play and then you have to slowly scroll left or right to find the track you want.

Some players allow you to go one level deeper and browse to a folder and then browse the files within the folder and select the track you want.

It is not possible to see a list of all the songs on your player or to browse while music is playing.

You can find information in the Knowledge Base on how to use s1fwx and s1res to customize your player.

Hello,

Is it possible with such tools to modify the firmware in order to permit such feature?

Cheers

Ok, but do you know if there are available firmwares that allow such feature?

Cheers

They either don't exist or we don't know where they are. It's certainly possible, but takes a lot of skill. You can write your own programs for the MP4, someone created a simple hello world program.

right now the firmwares out there don't allow this, i would recommend not trying to alter the firmware unless your really good at programming and know how to revive a dead player.

It would be great if they did come out with this feature.
