Default Memory Gone Crazy

For some reason, after I put a new firmwire on my mp4, it split the mp4 into two different partions.
So the one the mp4 reads for music, is only 17MB, and the other one is 979MB, but the mp4 doesnt read the data from that.

Can someone please help me?!

Try going to the SYS Tools >> Online Mode, and select Normal Only.

If it still shows the same thing, you can either re-flash back to your original firmware or format your player with Disk Tool. However the latter would completely clear everything from your memory, so backup before proceeding.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

surya, I would guess you have a hacked player and your chip is not a 1GB but 256MB. I suggest you remove the back from your player and check the memory chip serial number and make against chip information HERE

Kevin, what program did you use to format your player? If it is the MP3 Utilities Disk Tool, ensure the slider in the Partition and Encrypt tab is set to minimum (left), and format it again.

Or else, it could be that your memory chip was a hacked 128MB chip. It would be easier to verify the actual memory size by opening the player and checking the memory chip's numbers.
