pause function (music) resets to 1st file, 1st folder
Hi All
Just got this player (infamous 'nano, knockoff) 3 days ago, having issues with mp3 player. Firmware Version (from SYS setup): MP3 PLAYER SC85051C 2006/03/29 ACT_V3.5.35 Let's say I have three folders (A,B,C) and ROOT If I play the music is any folder (other than root), when I pause the player, music fades (as normal), but then it brings me back 1st song in first folder. That is, if I was player some music from folder 'C' and I pause, it will bring me back to the first file in either folder 'A' or ROOT (if there are music files in ROOT). The 'stop' symbol appears instead of the 'pause' symbol. If I am playing Music files from ROOT, pause works as expected. Doesn't seem to make any difference with number of folders or files. For now I am just going to keep all files in ROOT--- although this is VERY inconvenient for two reasons as (1)I like to categorize my music.(2) it only see 99 files per folder. not sure if a firmware upgrade will solve this issue, although I am a bit wary after reading all the warnings (would I rather have a crippled player or a dead player), but will do it if it solves this issue. Would reformatting the player do the trick? Thanks Josh |
joshatx,
Not sure what the problem is but you could try a few basic problem solving steps. Make sure the repeat setting is on normal. Format the player. Extract the firmware with s1fwx, run the repair.bat then load it back to your player. |
