Have you tried extracting the firmware yourself from that player?

It's hard to tell what firmware, chip and version your player has just by the outer casing now. Most of the MP3/MP4 shell casing are generically the same with the difference that different manufacturer will put different boards and firmware versions inside the player. Some will modify it themselves as well.

You can try extracting it yourself or check the CD to see if a .fw or .bin file exists on the cd.

thanks Binh,

i have tried extracting the firmware using sfwx1 but i dont know how to modify it. and im looking for the firmware just like the screen of the player in the picture. the one with the graphic equalizer on screen. is it possible to modify the screen of your player. i mean the inside screen for the music, movie, etc.. i am aware that the menu screens are modifiable using sres1. but is the inside screens can be modified? and does the memory size of the player is neede to be consider if im going to upgrade the firmware? for extracted a firmware from a 512mb player, will it work for a 1gb or 2gb player considering that they are from the same manufacturer and using the same boards?

also do you have a step by step guide on how to change firmware? and what should be considered TO BE SURE that the firmware that you will upload to your player will work? it would be really helpful. thank you very much! :D
