OGG music

I don't know if you knew, but these MP4 chipod (at least mine) can play OGG files. I say it beacause it is not in the product specs.

Wow, that is very interesting!
Must be a new feature.
Can you send us more details about your player? Photo maybe or a backup of your firmware?

Any test with it?

Hi,
my Mp4 supports OGG files too. I think all 3.5.37 firmwares support these files. I think the manufacturer forget about this function in all technical specifications...
I have an ordinary no-name NanoClone. Anyway, maybe it supports DVD VOB files ;D?

grabbersound,

Humm, I don't think it will support VOB anytime soon as there is the issue with battery and power consumption. I've been told (from a portable media player manufacturer) that the firmware has to be adjusted a lot to get VOB playback working properly without sucking all the battery life from it. I can be done though.

Also the issue with disk space as you know .VOB files are large.

Would love to see it play DivX and Xvid and .WMV though. Saves us having to compress things.

Heh, It just a joke... I know the VOB files is too large for these Nanofakes, etc. But I don't know, why manufacturer didn't tell about OGG support? Maybe it's because, in fact, that information will not improve the selling level? Well, we'll never understand chinese people:). Greetz

I've also recently discovered my nanoclone can play ogg files! I have firmware 3.5.35, so .37 is not the only one that can play OGGs. Nice discovery there, sewave.
