Lez, Make sure they do not try to upgrade the firmware when they get their players it will trash them.
Have a good one :)

Re: Please Upload your Players Firmware Today

I have uploaded my firmware twice and it has never shown up in the firmware download page...I have no idea how to get it uploaded. You can follow the procedure and nothing happens. Go to a third party and upload it there. Such as

Re: Please Upload your Players Firmware Today

Been trying to get the firmware off my player useing S1fx but im not sure its working right and I wouldn't want to upload a bad firmware file so.

I ran the extract.exe file and i belive it did take the firmware off my player but also said a few errors such as unknown firmware file, repairing failed when i used repair.exe. But when i used extract.exe it did access my mp4 player and did put a dump.bin file in the folder of the program.

So I can upload that file if you want? It's size is 6,165KB.

lattesurf 28th Jan 2007 8:46 am

davesnow , what version is your firmware?
The S1fwx tool currently only supports upto v9.0.43. Your player might be using the v9.0.48, v9.0.50 or v9.1.50. So while extracting, it displays all the error message.

I'm not sure if the dump file is complete, as some files might not be within it.

Re: Please Upload your Players Firmware Today

here is the info that is in the settings on my player.

Core: Act9x_0.49

Date: 2006-10-20

FW: SRX-1.5c-005

Date: 2006-11-10

tadad1 28th Jan 2007 1:53 pm

davesnow, Unfortunatly the dump is most likely not viable. It looks like you may have a 9.0.49 version which s1fwx can not extract completely. Thankyou for taking the time to try though :)

MESSAGE FOR THE ADMINISTRATOR, is very important to add the reference of LCD display, this is what marks the difference in many firmwares, for that reason sometimes work the MP4 but the screen is blue, remember to add the reference of the processor (2085, 20561h, 2091, etc) and the reference of the LCD example Giantplus xxxxx, the reference of the board is less important and the firmware reference is not important because when your player died you cant see the reference of your previous working firmware, thanks

Hi guys,

I am a new user of this website and I first want to apologize if I am posting in a wrong thread. I have an mp3/wma/rec that I just recently bought, but I have a problem with it. When I try to play some songs, the player just restarts itself and then shuts down.

Can someone please help me and tell me what can I do? Should I install a firmware on it and where could I find it?

The player looks like this:

Code:

Again, sorry if I am posting in a wrong thread, and I would be really grateful if someone would be able to help me,

Thanks a lot,

CTW500 or ATJ209X-2.0" Glacier or Glacier alike-ACT2093

Hi Tadad,
please add this firmware to firmware or download section. here is the link : ACT2093_S75 for Glacier or Glacier alike 2.0" player
this firmware saved 3 people up to now.
1. follow dead player recovery guide and make your computer detect your player as ADFU device.
2. Run mp3 player tool (I used 4.0.9) and select firmware upgrade
3. Select this firmware and then click recovery button (not upgrade, if its name is upgrae, something is wrong with step 1 or 2)
4. if Upload is successful, after your computer disconnect the player, remove it from computer and turn it on.
5. if everythign up to here is okay, then player will start with chinese language. Goto settings menu of player and then select 3rd menu(Language) and then select 2nd(English).
6. Good Luck, All.

HI friends,

I hav brought Chinese Mp4 Sony 1Gb with Spkr..

core: PMA300-010
Date 2006-03-15
Fw: SRX-3.5.37
Date 2006-03-24

Snapshot of My player===> http://mp4johnson.en.ec21.com/produc...product_nm=MP4

It was working fine until i Formatted it. So whenever i use to transfer file to the player it never use to play, always shows Format Error in the Screen or corrupted.. Therefore i thought to Upgrade the Firmware.
I got the Same FW-i.e SRX-3.5.37.. from [ http://www.s1mp3.org/en/downloads_fw.php#oled ]

But when i Upgraded it my screen went off , full Blank screen appeared, so from then now i'm not able to use my Mp4...

Therefore If any body got the solution for the same Plsssssss mail me..

Thanx in advance...

Moro, That is because your player has 9.0.50 version firmware, s1fwx does not work with any firmware above version 9.0.43.

For most people when extracting their firmware they do not know this information because they have had no need to open the player, I would not expect anyone to pull their player apart to check component serials just to upload their firmware.

admin 27th Apr 2007 5:02 am

Moro,

The s1fwx tool can't extract firmware version 9.0.50 at the moment. You have firmware version 9.0.50 unfortunately.

As soon as it's available, it will be on this site for everyone to download. So at the moment, we all just have to wait for wiRe to provide us with an upgraded version of the s1fwx tool.

monkeys are evil 27th Apr 2007 6:16 pm

i tried but after selecting extract and then typing in the drive, it scanned a bit and then it come up with error; can not read from specified device. so i obviously have the same issue as Moro

Firmware ATJ2093H

Ok... I bought a mp4 PLAYER from HONG KONG a few weeks ago.

At first it had no problems. Some weeks later when I tried to turn it on, it appeared a BLUE screen with a sand clock in it, but I couldn't use it.

As it didn't work I tried to upgrade the firmware, but now the screen is completely dark blue (my computer has always recognised it as an ADFU device).

Here are some characteristics of the PLAYER:

Large CHIPSET: SAMSUNG 652 K9G8G08UOM PCB0

Medium CHIPSET: ATJ2093H FC030FA 5C6

Small CHIPSET: SPT SP3767HN 06KS39

LCD Screen: P20061015 0644185969

Here you can see a mp4 PLAYER similar than mine:

http://www.fotozone.es/ficheros/2007...zone_17966.jpg

I hope someone can help me and tell me where to find the firmware I need. Thank you.

THOR1985 - What's the screen size?

The pic looks like my "full metal Platinum". You could look here for firmware:

Although the file for the 1.5 size screen hasn't worked for me.

good luck.

Re: Please Upload your Players Firmware Today

I'd like to dump my player firmware(Nano Clone 2GB, Black, ATJ2093H, with firmware 9.0.48, Wilson Lisong), but how I can do it? I've seen a bunch of posts saying that it's impossible 'cause s1fwx still can't dump firmware on players like mine, due to some limitations.
And also I've seen some dumps of 9.0.48, 9.0.50 firmwares...
The question is: how'd you guys doing this?
Maybe there's another proggy for firmware dump?

Blaze 23rd Jul 2007 5:27 pm

I don't know how to get the firmware from my MP4 player

I really want to upload my firmware and maybe learn how to modify it, but the S1 software isn't working for me. My MP4 player came with a mini disk with a lot of programs, but no instructions or even descriptions about what the programs are.

Here is my MP4 player:

[img=left:a72f2ba967]http://www.houseofblaze.com/myspacephotos/watch.jpg[/img:a72f2ba967]

It's sold as a Raremono/Thanko 1.8" (actually 1.5") widescreen mp4 watch.

The chip is a Samsung K9LAG08(MLC). The firmware is 03.10.00, and my system settings say the chip version is 07.

Any idea what program I should be using to extract and/or modify this firmware?

Thank you.
- Blaze
