I dont see my upload in the downloads section, yet it said that my upload was successful. I uploaded it from my PC, should i put it on a file host instead?

tadad1 5th Oct 2006 9:26 pm

Hoppes, Admin has to approve the upload before it can be downloaded. That way we can keep people from uploading viruses etc.
It should become available soon.
Thanks again :)

Re: Please Upload your Players Firmware Today

Okay, here is another nano clone - BT YJ-809, 1.8" CSTN screen, 3.5.35 firmware, sold in Serbia mostly.

Link:
http://rapidshare.de/files/35502570/...ike_v3.5.35.7z

I am posting like this, because i don't even get upload function to work (provider is blocking such things... :( )
It has 2 firmwares inside - original one with waterlily theme, and one with modified images.
Still looking for a working 3.5.37 version (merging with 3.5.37 leaves player with no keys operating... I couldn't even set it up with waterlily software, or with manual hex-editing of ky_hard.drv file...)

admin 22nd Oct 2006 2:02 am

pixxel

Thanks for posting your player's firmware.
Can you give us more description on your player please? Example, what it looks like, screen size, etc...?

You can also upload a photo of it in our "Gallery" section on the main menu on the left hand side.

Also, you can upload the firmware to our site as well if you want. When you do, you can just use the rapidshare link you just wrote as the download location. That way, we can give you credit for the providing the firmware.

pixxel 22nd Oct 2006 11:40 am

Okay, here it is:
It is standard nano-clone, with 1.8 inch screen (CSTN 128*160 - awful but works), it has 1 GB of memory, FM radio, voice recorder, picture viewer, e-books viewer, 4 games, video clips (amr, mtv), music :), telephone book, just like all others. It has a 3.5.35 firmware revision (you already know that). It has an ATJ2085W chip onboard. It has 5 keys (Menu, prev, next, vol/rec and play/pause just like original nano - in a circle, and on/off switch on top. No hold button though.)
I've already put this player in gallery, it is here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/bt-yj-809...ne-asp128.html
The picture shown is from the website I’ve found it (Serbian website with few players: http://www.computerdream.co.yu/slikeaktuelno/mp4.htm), mainly because I don't have a digital camera (yet), and only pictures I have are bad quality, but I’ll post them tonight on gallery page.
I'll try to upload firmware here as well, as soon as I get back home (I’m in college right now, and firewall of our schools ISP is blocking uploads to remote servers.)

tadad1 22nd Oct 2006 5:02 pm

pixxel, Thanks for taking the time to do this it is most appreciated. :)

Re: Please Upload your Players Firmware Today

hi guys,
i ran s1fwx vers 3, and extracted to bin file, but when i run repair, i keep getting error : repairing file failed.
am i doing something wrong?

my firmware vers is 9.0.43, 2006/04/29

and B600N2v3.0, 2006/07/24

any ideas what is wrong?
ps I also tried older vers of s1fwx with same results

tadad1 31st Oct 2006 11:11 pm

katsaflias, 9.0.XX firmware is a new version and as yet there is no way to extract a viable working backup. As it becomes more mainstream s1fwx may be updated to successfully extract and repair the firmware to create a backup.

Thought I would add some info on mine, I bought it off ebay, the link is below.
As for the rest of the info, I don't know where to gain thsi from?

Moderators please ignore the first file I uploaded as I've just uploaded it again but with more info. Hope this helps. Ta

Same thing happened when I uploaded my firmware. Is this a site bug? I'm sure I uploaded to the site correctly.

admin 3rd Dec 2006 1:25 am

broose and louie,

Can you tell me if you get any messages at the end of the uploading? Does it say any error messages or "completed" or something else?

Also, are you uploading a .zip, .rar, .7z or .bin file? If you can .7z zip it up, that will save disk space and uploading time. I think maybe it's timing out during the uploading process if it's not compressed, it will be large and will take awhile to upload.

Please try again, would love to see the firmware.

Louie 11th Dec 2006 5:54 am

Re: Please Upload your Players Firmware Today

I can't recall now what the error was, but I will zip the file and try uploading it again. I'll make note of any error messages I get, if any, this time.

edit: Just uploaded the file louiedump.7z with no problems.

skoolboy 17th Dec 2006 12:42 am

hi, mine just bought mp4 player, a 2gb ipod nano alike model, yesterday, no brand in the box stated.

the firmware version is 9.0.48 dated on 2006/09/12
the fw:B806K8V1.1 dated on 2006/09/25

is anyone know what this number mean?
How about upgrading the firmware?
is it safe for me to take the fw core 9.0.49? or the newer version?

tadad1 17th Dec 2006 1:31 am

skoolboy, Do not try to upgrade your firmware if you kill your player there is no way at the moment to recover it.

Lez 22nd Dec 2006 4:46 pm

Re: Please Upload your Players Firmware Today

I can see some are having trouble uploading, I have the opposite, I cant read my FW !

I get a dump.bin, but its not right, I can see this by dropping it onto notepad the usual gibberish is missing, and if I try to reopen it in s1res, it fails and says the files no good.

Is their a better version of software to download my fw, its a 1gb(960mb formatted) 1.5 inch ipod nano clone, 2.5mm headphone jack.

hope this helps
