I don't think so, it would be nice if you could, as i agree, they are pretty useless.

What? I think that u CAN edit the EQ. Didn't u saw that in the downloads section there is an EQ skin? And by the comments on that post I think it works for all players that have an EQ (Too bad that mine hasn't )

Search the download section. U'll find it in the older downloads.

XTransbus , it should be able to be done maybe with a hex editor. However, you need to be very such sure of the values that you change, as even a wrong value or character to the hex file, you most likely would kill or hang your player when it is flashed in.

Keep us updated on your progress. Good Luck!

XTransbus

You can edit the images used for the equalizer. However, they are just 4 images which repeat itself to stimulate an equalizer display and not actually based on the real data from the song.

Hummm, if you can 'redo' the firmware, that would be great! Unfortunately there's not a lot of information about them on the internet to help you out. Looks like the chip manufacturers are quite secretive about it all.... I guess they have to be to protect themselves I guess.

hahaha, i've also found this on my firmware
SDK-ITEM/ACTIONSGongee.ZH vvvvvvWilson Co. Ltd. vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvS1 Mp4 Player

QiUD_SF321.DRV UD_SF641.DRV UD_SF644.DRV UD_SDMMC.DRV UD_FF321.DRV UD_FF641.DRV UD_FF644.DRV UD_SDMMC.DRV

ok, the file is about several pages long. So it'll take me sometime to crack it though but i can't assure anything because there might be some problems along the way.

since it's a .bin file, anybody have tried to burn it onto a cd?
