[Solved] Full 9.0.43 firmware can be edited?

Hi, I have recently bought a Nexxtech T9 MP4 Player (1GB, 1.8"TFT, SD slot, stereo speakers) that uses the 9.0.43v firmware so I can't repair the extracted dump.bin.

Well, I found that in the CD included in the package there is a full firmware for the player, so I was wondering if this firmware could be edited with the s1res software or maybe with waterlily..

Is this posible?

Thanks!

korn88, If you can load it with s1res you can mod it. I would not trust Waterlily on a 9.0.43 though.

Hit, this version of the firmware is because my player has the new ATJ2097 Chipset, I don't know if there is some way to use this new firmware in another chipset..

Hit, there are a few player coming out with the 9.0.xx series firmware now, they either run the ATJ2097 or the CTW500 chipset. Here are a couple of players running 9.0.43 on the CTW500

You can download a program called EasyChips from the Downloads>Tools section if you want to find you players chipset.

Hi fellows!

korn88 said that he "changed my battery meter icons and everything went OK."

I've got one of these players, a clone of Nexxtech T9, mine is Foston FS-88, but exactly the same.

My units does not charge batteries fully. I say batterieS 'cause it came with two. It indicates that the battery is fully charged but if I turn it off and on again it's just half charge.

I don't believe the problem is with the batteries 'cause I've checked voltage during charging and it does not look normal. Now I'm looking for an nokia cellphone that fits the batteries ...

But I'd like to ask you: could this problem be rellacted with firmware?

Tks"!

My problem with the firmware was that the meter was not accurate enough.. It showed the battery full but then it would fell to only 4lines (from 9).. (almost the same problem that you have)

So I remade the images so that the distribution of the meter was better..

I've seen 3 Nexxtech t9 players, all with the same problem :(

I have a nano clone with that firmware, and it was showing half battery after a full charge. Fortunately, it came to its senses and is now showing full.... :)

Is there only one version of that firmware? I don't trust the version number, as it doesn't make sense that different chipsets would run the same firmware.

Hi, Levemente!

The charger that came with my player does not fully charges battery. IŽll try to fix that changing some electronic components.

If I use my home computer's USB, battery does not charge either.
But at office it works fine.
Both computers are a little bit old, USB 1.x, but it seems that some old USB ports are not able to give enough power.
Maybe that's your case. Try another computer, and even another cable (a friend of mine is got cable issues)

Bye!
