Firmware
 

My player started going wonky whilst watching an AMV file, I tried formatting and replacing the files and the same thing happened. I then extracted my firmware but forgot to move my original firmware that I extracted a while ago(good copy) so I assume the firmware I extracted is now faulty as it failed to repair when trying to put it back in and when I use the dead player recovery technique (after installing the full fw that is posted here) I try to upgrade to my dump.bin file and get the error message "open upgrade firmware file error" any suggestions would be appreciated.

My player is a 1gb 1.8" screen and is the player in my avatar

Bradders, Did you format the player after installing the full firmware?

Hi Tadad, yes I formatted, I managed to get the firmware back into the player using a different version of the player up date, it works now, but still having slight probs, goes wonky watching amv files and then switches on and off, deleted the amv file, then I put an album of mp3's onto the player, they disappeared. I think the flash chip maybe faulty.
