Default Battery Life??

I have just got a 4gb from hong kong which of course turned into a 1gb as soon as i got it. But i was wondering in general with the screen on watching a avm how long should the battery last. As mine seem to only last about 10 mins.

Also how do you usb charge the player the instructions seem strange and cant work out if player should be on or off before i plug it in and how long should it take to do a full charge??

Sorry for all the questions but hope some one can give me a clue, this is an awesome site, very cool.

tzcqdg, The player should always be on when charging. depending on battey size it should take no longer than 3-4 hours to fully charge your battery. Once again depending on size you should expect anything between 5 - 7 hours music play and 2 -3 hours video play.

Thanks very mch for reply

I did a bit of a time test and turn the mp3 on then pluged into my laptop, charged it for 5 hours and it went into the black screen most of time unless i pressed a button and it appeared to be charging and nothing else.

But after this i timed playing a movie (.avm) and it last for just under 10 mins, reckon bad battery or something im doing

Any ideas most welcome

tzcqdg, I don't think you are doing anything wrong and the player should still charge even when the LCD switches off. The battery may be shagged or you could try another usb cord as theyu can be a bit dodgy.
I notice someone is selling replacement nano clone batteries on ebay. If you do a search there for Battery MP3 Player it should come up.
