Nokia battery in player

Well my player is the one in my picture, it supports Nokia batteries.. but it came with a fake BL-4C (without the MAH specification  ). I managed to get a BL-5C real Nokia battery with 850mah :D (nice)
I had to mod the player case to make the new battery fit, as it is a bit wider [don't know if this is the correct word].

This are my results (tested with music and backlight off at 6sec):

Fake nokia battery: 8hs of continuous playing (not bad at all!)

But this is the best:
Real nokia battery: 23hs of continuous playing :)

Now I know that the fake nokia battery is about 300mah as I have the 850mah battery as a reference..

Also with the same player a 700mah battery did about 18hs of continuous playing..

So if you have one of these players and you can get a real nokia battery just do it! it's a great upgrade for your player!!!

Sorry for my english! I know it's not perfect...

EDIT: Spelling mistake

That's great, I even see lithium-polymer batteries now for Nokia's that are 1700mah! That may be almost 40 hours playback, if it would be 30 with fiddling with the screen on, jumping songs and playing loud, that would even be terrific. Just ordered a Glacier (see lucky draw topic), and it has a 3650 nokia battery.

Re: Nokia battery in player

Thinking about getting a BL-5C battery for my upcoming Glacier player, because they're cheap and can go up to 900mah (vs. 650-850mah of the BL-4C). The ads for the battery say it can replace the battery in a 6600 Nokia phone, and the ads for the player say it can use the Nokia 6600 phone battery. However, according to KORN88 in this thread, he had to modify the casing of his player to take the Bl-5C which is apparently 1mm wider. I'm not sure though if KORN88 was using a Glacier, he did not specify! Can KORN or ANYONE tell me exactly what modifications to the case are needed to use a BL-5C battery in a Glacier player? Seems that if its 1mm wider than the slot, the only way to fit it is to actually break the casing.

korn, how did you modify the player case.

even my player came with a fake bl - 4c battery.

i tried using the original nokia bl - 5c but as you mentioned, my player's case was not able to close properly.

what should i do? buy an original nokia bl - 4c or is there a way to mod the player case like you said? how did you do it?

What do I have to modify to use the BL-5C?
