Default Help I broke the on off switch


i broke the on off switch on my mp4 player...is there any way i can by pass it
please help

brendan1234, If you can manage to get it into an on position you can turn your player on and off by long pressing the play button.
Can you give some more details on "broke" what actually broke?

ok it started off the plastic broke....i opened it up and chipped off the metal connecter that holds it in place....then on the other side of the metal connector...i broke 1 of the three connectors on the board.....

my bad i dont know another word for connector

brendan1234, Well as the switch is basically just a circuit breaker you could use a piece of wire and test which 2 connections turn your player on when crossed. Once you identify the 2 points you could join them with solder and the player would be permanantly on and you could then use the play button for on\off.
