[solved] "failed to set f-mode, maybe write-lock....&qu
 Hi ppl
Im kinda new on this "firmware modding" and I've never done anything like it, but i was curious because i've seen some cool mods done to some Iclones and i thought that i could do it myself, but unfortunably i can't http://anossaconquista.no.sapo.pt/ekon.jpg This is the player that i bought. only 512mb, cause i really dont need more, and it works fine. but when i try to backup the dump file using s1fwx this happens: http://anossaconquista.no.sapo.pt/error.JPG It looks kinda dumb, but i think my player doesnt come with a read/write lock feature, or does it? Can someone give me a tip or something? Bye and TY  |
Tracanas, Have a look on your player at Settings>Firmware Version, what version is your firmware?
Also go to Settings>Online mode and make sure it is set to Normal only. |

ACTS16D_13 2005/06/01 ws-3.2.16 2005/07/28 BTW, explain what ive just wrote :P |
Tracanas, Basically your firmware is version 3.2.16 which should extract without any problems. Try connecting your player and holding down the play button while you run s1fwx to extract.
|
Nop... still cant. ive checked the online mode, tried the 3 modes, pressing the play button, nothing. is there any other way to extract the firmware from the player?
|
ok, situation solved.
The problem was that when s1fwx searched the drives, my floppy disk (that i dont even have phisically :P) was creating a conflict. turned it off and its done. Thanks anyway and im sure that i will continue posting in here! |
