After six months of my mp4 player
hey ppls,
Well, after six months of regular use(around 2hrs per day) of my mp4 player, this is what has happened and what i think of it now: 1.) Too many scratches even after buying a silicon case 2.) Battery life has gone down. Before it could last about 6-7hrs, now about 4hrs. It also loses a lot of power when not in use 3.) USB connecter is sometimes losing connection with the computer I compared my mp4 player with my freinds iPod and i reckon an iPod is way better(sorry). The clickwheel really sets it apart. Also, there isnt any lag and you can listen to music while doing something else. Even though the mp4 can play video, its either squashed or not good quality since there are only 128x128 pixels. Personally, I wouldn't buy a mp4 player again. Maybe I'm wrong, and you people might still like your mp4 player. xD ps: my mp4 player is nanoClone 2gb, 128x128 |
skyline.gtr.tg,
Personally I don't have an iPod. However, after speaking with two other guys at work who bought an iPod, they didn't like theirs at all! One of them sold it on an auction site the same week! The problem I have been told about the iPod is that it's heavily reliant on iTunes. When you copy music to your iPod from iTunes, then connect your iPod to your computer and browse the drive, you will notice the files are all renamed and is put in randomly in your iPod as well. I like the MP4 because it gives me more 'control' and flexibility. I can organise my files like a removable memory stick drive and organise the storage of the files as I want it to be. Well, that's just my two cents. I'm sure the quality of the player itself is much better, but heck, the price is really good for an MP4 player and I won't feel as bad if I lost it or broke it given how much I paid for it. |
Re: After six months of my mp4 player
it only seems 2 be the nano clones that are the problem.

Re: After six months of my mp4 player
Personally i hate iTunes!
i have a Motorola E1 Rokr mobile phone, and it uses iTunes as it's mp3 player. Some Apple and Motorola collaboration stuff.. But anyway, uploading music takes forever. Also, starting the iTunes program and getting it to link up with my mobile phone takes even longer. Also, the other time when my girl's harddisk crashed, she had almost all of her music collection on her ipod video. So i was thinking, we could just copy them back to the computer. When i browsed the player, every filename was renamed to some random characters. Somehow iTunes changes the filenames for its archive purpose. With just these few things, i personally think that ipod sucks. If you guys have slightly more money than a nano-clone, get a Meizu or T29. Cool stuff and better functions than an ipod. |
For what its worth I agree with the 'anti Ipod' comments here.. I have just bought a 4gig MP3/4 (which is probably a 1-2gig one and I am very annoyed at that).. Which is a direct replacement for my 13 month old Ipod Nano.. My Nano battery pack failed after 9 months and the only way to use it is with the mains cable attached.. (not very portable any more is it?) The Ipod software is a pain in the bum and it had the annoying habit of needing a re-format every month or so... BUT, I hear you cry,,, you now have a bogus 4gb player,, so whats the benefit?.. Well if I re-format and end up with 1 or 2 gigs, then I have a perfectly useable MP4 player for £36.. whereas the 3 Gig Nano cost me £135! If the new one only lasts me a year.. its a quarter of the cost and it does more!
It's a pain being ripped off by Ebay, but it annoys me more that Apple ripped me off for £135 by supplying a battery pack with known issues and not repairing or refunding when the faults are reported. |
geostar, I do not think they are available in the UK at present. The player does not come with an external charger although they are available as well as an external battery pack. According to the Meizu web forum they will accept any usb socket charger with a 4.7 to 5v output and a minimum 400mAh rating. I just use my old chipod charger.

i have similar versions that will come with a uk plug, they are from china but my wholesaler will ship the plug according to were u live
