Man I wish I'd found this forum before I started shopping for my mp4 player.

Just wondering if any of you have this player, or know of it, I am hoping I have made a good purchase!!

With Postage the price isn't too far out... But the T&C always make me smile... You can only return it if you can do so within 14 days of placing the order.. delivery to Aus takes 'about' 12 Days but invarioubly takes longer as a 'Day' to the chinese is a working day.. of 5 per week! You also pay P&P which is now taking the price to over $75 just to buy it and return it and you will also be expected to pay the costs again for shipping a replacement.. so its getting a bit more expensive... In my experience any problem with a unit will probably result in you being offered a 5-10 $AS refund.
BUT.. the unit looks cool.. it shouldn't have a bogus memory unit and the SD slot will give you lots of options.. the software on these things seems very good and does all its supposed to, so if its as good as it looks you have a bargain.. if its duff, then you can always invoke the paypal or ebay conflict procedure... I hope it works out for you.

Yeah I hope it is as good as it reads - this seller has very high feedback rating so, all should be good. Anyway - I will be sure to post my opinion when I have it.

Received my player today - and have had a little play with it - pretty cool so far. Sounds great, looks great, seems to work well too - I haven't tried the SD slot yet. Comes with crap software that doesn't work with the Rockchip hardware, however d/loaded AV Converter 2.0 from uxcell website and avi files play perfectly so far. I have to wrap it back up now so the kids can give it to me for xmas, but I just wanna keep playing with it!! Review to come after xmas.

It is very similar, just a different case, see ryanrudolph's post as mine is exactly the same case as that just without the ipod label.

OK - I've had a couple of days to play with this baby, and I love it! 2" screen is crystal clear and colours are well defined. MP3's sound great, even at 128k and audio from the avi files is crystsal clear. Headphones are a little uncomfortable, but may be just a little bit big for my ears. FM radio is clear and reception is good to about 20kms out of city, then it gets very scratchy and drops completely at about 30kms (where I live!!). FM voice recorder works well and is quite clear.

File navigator function is very handy, can delete files without pc connection. Has built in tetris game, but I'm well over tetris and can't see myself playing it much. SD card expansion slot is great, just waiting for my new 2G SD card to arrive. Connection to PC via USB was trouble free - detected by winxp pro and file transfer so far has performed flawlessly. Software that came with unit was incorrect and was for ipod clone and not rockchip unit. I downloaded AVIconvert 2.0 from this site and it works perfectly for this unit. Instructions that came with it were direct English translation from Chinese text and almost impossible to understand. However the basic operation of this unit is pretty well self explanitory and the gui is very easy to use.

Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and if the unit proves to be reliable I will be ecstatic!

ive ordered a 1.8 inch 262k TFT screen, 1 gb with pretty much everything from music player, video, fm, ebook, picture viewer, telephone book, etc and its even got replaceable mobile type battery.

waiting for it. already been 6 days and seller tells me it will take another 3 days :(

but im patient and hope it pays off. like they say 'patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet'.
