battery
Hi everybody
I would like to know if there is a problem to put a battery wich has a different mA as the one I have in my mp4. I have a nano clone and the bttery is a3.7V and 250mA. I found battery that could replace the one I have (same dimensions) in my mp4 but the mA is different what could be the consequences of a different mA? I read few topics about changing the battery but nothing about that For example could I put a 800mA that I found in sellers what are the risks for my player? I hope my question was clear. I am sorry if there are answers for it on forum but i didn't found them by searching. maybe could you create a special forum for battery questions because there are a lot of questions but in many place on your web site that is great. I am also sorry for my bad english and I hope someone could understand and answer me Thanks |
katana , are you refering to mAh or mA? As there is very significant difference between these 2 units.
Generally batteries only have the voltage and mAh ratings printed on the outside. If it is mAh, the higher the better. The higher it goes, the longer your battery would last. Think of it as the capacity. If it is mA, leave it alone. if your original battery was 250mA and you put a 500mA battery, you might just fry your player. |
New battery= new AC adaptor?
thanks for the information
i was refering to mAh that i can see on the battery But i have an other question may i charge the new battery with the USB cable or the AC adaptor or have i to buy a new one for the new battery I want to buy Thanks |
katana, You should have no problems using the equipment you already have. I have replaced the batteries in 3 players with iPod relacement batteries and they all work as normal with both adapter and USB charging.

think of mA as voltage ;)

Re: battery
Katana, Where did you find an 800 maH battery?? I am curious, I have seen 330 or 400 ones around for the Mi Pod Knockoff's it would be a tremendous improvement over the factory 250 maH.
I have seen a few replacements on ebay and Uxcell, as in proper Ipod Nano replacements!! The dimensions in the back of the Mp4 player need to be exact as well. Any feedback would be great!! CVheers Joffa |
