Just Won. Should I Pay For? Need Opinions

Ok So I just won:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=160065823655

But upon reviewing this site and reading opinions I have a feeling this item may be a fake.
My question is that it is NOT an IPOD NANO clone. It is a different mp4 player so I am unsure if the alligations stand in this case.

Is this item legite or is this another case of an ebayer taking advantage of an unsuspecting person.

Please note that I have not yet paid for this item.

All feedback will be appreicated.

macknup, The seller lists that it plays AMV video so it is an ACTIONS chipset player the same as most Nano Clones so it will have a hacked memory chip as these chipset players can only support a maximum of 2GB Nand Flash memory.

I suggets you not pay for it and tell the seller UGOOLE that since bidding on the auction you have found that he is on a Blacklist for selling 4GB players that actually have smaller memory chips hacked to read as 4GB and you have decided not to risk being scammed.
Send him these links as well

Tell him you have also passed this information on to Ebay.

You see, that's why I wrote a fake 4GB+ MP4 guide on eBay. Had you checked the eBay guides before bidding, you'd have seen a picture of your player in my guide, listing it as a fake. Plus a link to this site, where people here have been burned by UGOOLE buying just that player. Needless to say, don't pay for it!

I appreciate all the help guys.

I will be sure to NOT pay for this and notify all parties involved.

Can anyone reccomend a decent seller/site to purchase a nice MP4 player cabable of being skinned similar to an Ipod such as created by Doon?

THANKS!

macknup, The skinning question is a bit hard to answer for the following reasons. If you buy a player at the moment there is achance that it will be using one of the newer improved chipsets and the 9.0.48 and up version firmware. At the moment their are no tools to extract and mod these versions of firmware.
If you do get a player that can be modded there is no telling if the firmware will be suited to iPodding as they are all slightly different in their image layout size etc. you won't know till you get it.

Safe traders I don't know as I have not bought off eBay. I know or site sponser UXcell sells at good prices and at the moment they are running a draw for members who purchase from their site using one of the on site links.

I just bought 2 ipod nano style clones, and to be honest, I'm happy, but the quality of these units is to be questioned, if you bought one, you would expect yours to be the same as everyone else, and it wont be......

I have two here bought from two sellers, biggest difference I have noticed is performance, while both no doubt left the same factory, the quality of the image on screen is miles apart, one has a good screen, the other lacks contrast, looks sepia toned, and is limited on viewing angle.

The other one could be mistaken for tft instead of stn, at least I think these are the cheaper stn, FM radio also differs, the one with the poor screen has a superb radio, while the other struggles on good stations..

I dont know what to suggest as like I say, unless you buy more than one, you would not know that the are 'of variable quality'

I bought 1gb ones, and seem to be 1gb, I'm sat here just after formatting them to check(!) and to get them wrapped back up for the big day.......

I bought from UK sellers, johnkenny30 and buy4less_uk, the one from johnkenny had the better radio-poorer screen but I think its luck of the draw.
