pmilladcs , unfortunately this rockbox is not even compatible for installation. All the china mp4 players have firmwares which are written specifically for each hardware layout.
So even if 2 identical looking players come from the same factory, the firmware might be different (which usually is the case).
This rockbox seems to support only the branded players. However, s1mp3.org is currently working on an open-source firmware for these mp4 players. It is called the Swan Project and you might want to read up on it.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
